We have two home theatres, one on the main floor and one in the basement for the kids/teenagers to use. Over the years, our components have aged and progressed to the point where neither of the systems were working. David came and sorted out what components needed replacing and he cleaned up the mess of tangled wires. David took the time to reconfigure our remotes and he even added netflix for us. Our remotes are super easy to use and we have easy access to the back of our components in case a cord comes loose. David's work was neat, clean and professionally done, I highly recommend his services!

David installed our home stereo receiver and DVD, re-organized what we already had, organized all the wiring, made it much more user friendly for us. Showed us how to operate the system and explained how to use the new receiver. He is very knowledgeable and professional. We are very happy with his work. The system is neat and hidden as we requested, overall very satisfied.

David had installed a TV and audio system in my living room 8 years ago and I called him back again to install an audio system in my office. I was impressed by his attention to detail and the care that he put into his installation the first time and was happy to call him back. His great work provided great entertainment!

We were completely renovating our house and gutting the interior and we took the opportunity to put Cat6 and Speaker wiring throughout the house to support zonal audio and a 7.2 AV system. We retained David AV based on the very good reviews of his work on Homestars. He came in and provided great knowledge and expertise in how to approach the design, what types of materials to use and even had great deals in procuring top notch equipment. We had an idea of what we wanted but his expertise really helped put some of the decision points into perspective. What stood out about David is his tremendous attention to detail and quality workmanship. From the quality of the speaker cable he chose in the runs, to the little things such as leaving extra cable for post drywall maneuvering and how neat his cable alignment installs were. We got a great whole home audio, and wonderful 4K 7.2 channel AV setup in our living room with in-ceiling architectural speakers that sounds amazing. Would highly recommend David for any small or large AV job you might have for him.

David re-wired my speakers and tucked a complex bunch of wires and leads into cable strips that run around my lounge-room to keep it all neat and tidy. It is great and exactly what I was hoping for. He made every effort to contact me over a holiday weekend, to show up in a timely way later that week and was professional, courteous and paid attention to detail.

I found David very responsive, he addressed issues with both our music system and televisions/Apple TV. He's very personable and I would recommend him and we will use him again when needed.

In a nutshell, David was professional, congenial, knowledgeable, a clear communicator, detail oriented and patient.  My TV audio matter was resolved to my total satisfaction and at a fair price. Couldn't ask for more.  Highly recommend.

About 8 years ago we did a home renovation at which point we installed 6 ceiling speakers along with a wifi receiver. We also had a wall of cupboards installed with the idea of putting the Rogers box inside the cupboard to allow for a clean look. None of this really worked. The receiver kept cutting out and the cable box didn't work inside the cupboard. For a couple of years I asked around (friends and neighbors) if they could commend a good audio/visual person to help fix all this. Finally I looked to Homestars and found David. Several people responded to my queries but I liked David's communication style and mannerism over the phone and email. Fast forward a few weeks later: We now have a working wifi audio system, our receiver and speakers don't heat up to the point of spontaneous combustion, our cable box is well-hidden behind the cupboard and the new, universal remote control works from pretty well anywhere in the house. David went through the entire mass of previously (wrongly) installed wires and cords patiently undoing and replacing as needed, and left us with an easy-to-use system that works! Thank you David!
