    Home window Replacement

    I chose HomeTech on referral. David from HomeTech came out to our house within days of calling for an estimate and provided us with an initial recommendations and quote . He arrived late in the day to suite our schedule. Within a couple weeks we contacted David again to finalize the estimate and arrange to have someone come out to do the detailed measurements of the windows. We had 9 windows replaced, a three section bay window and our patio doors. The windows were manufactured and ready earlier than expected and we had the installers scheduled for three days. Install date December 6-7, 2012. The two gentlemen that came out were polite, professional and on time. They had arrived just before 9am and left just before 4pm having installed all units (with exception of finishing trim on the bay and capping outside). They returned the second day to complete the job. Throughout their work they maintained a very clean workplace, and due to the cold temperatures, only removed one window at a time. I might add that they were a bit shocked on arriving as they were not told that my house was currently in a bit of a mess as we are in the final stages of completion of a new home (which we expected possession a month ago) and the house currently held two households full of furniture/personal belongings, so the workspace was very limited. We managed to maintain some access to the windows and the two installers worked through it with no complaints!! The job was completed in much less time than i had anticipated and with very little disruption. We are very impressed with the quality of materials, the operation of the windows (the sliders also pivot open to give full opening access in the bedrooms, ingress/egress requirements) and the overall looks. The difference that the windows make on the inside of our 25yo home is amazing, brighter, cleaner and visually appealing. Although we have done this reno for resale value, i wish i had done it years earlier. The bay window now has an opening window with screen (never did before and desperately needed) and the patio doors look amazing with the miniblind inserts. There is a significant difference in the air around the windows (our family room couch is just below a window and always had a cool draft coming down from the window, now unnoticable). Also, I've noticed a definite reduction in the amount of noise i hear from outside, a benefit not considered. We talk about the new windows with all our friends.     Windows

    Very happy with the quality and can notice a huge difference standing by the windows(cold air).they came through with everything they said. It is very hard to find contractors that actually do what they say they are going to do and hometech did!!!

    replacement of 5 windows and both front and back doors

    I recently decided to have the windows and doors replaced in my home and got two quotes, one from Hometech and one from another local window and door company. I found the Hometech representative to be honest and straightforward. Although it was not an inexpensive project, I am very impressed with the quality, both of the product itself and the installers, who were very professional. I am very pleased to have had the windows and doors replaced, especially with winter here already. I feel I made a shrewd investment in increasing the long-term value and livability of my home.

    replace 7 windows

    We chose Hometech after getting several estimates. It wasn't the cheapest but the quality of the windows was superior. The installation was timely and went smoothly. They were finished in one day and after the tinstallers left we were left with no mess to clean up inside and out. The estimator and the installers were very informative and answered all our questions. We are very satisfied with the look of our new windows.

    Replace windows

    We had several estimates before we chose Hometech. I went to the showroom and liked what I saw. The representative came to the house and answered all the questions we had and showed us what he would recommend. We put in our order and had our windows installed in good time. The installers worked efficently and all the windows were done in one day.. We are very pleased with the look and can feel the house being at a more even heat. Thank you Hometech.

    windows

    The material and workmanship seemed professional. However, I did not know that I have to change my venetian flinds because I was not told before signing the deal that the new window frames are 1" narrower. Now I have to buy new blinds or curtains for my windows.

    replace main entry door & side windows.

    Investigated several companies and we were very impressed with the prompt response for a basic quote. A sales person was out in very short order, was knowledgable, made good suggestions and provided us with much needed help. None of our other contact companies were timely or flexible in their approach.

    Window replacement

    Friendly service when they came for the consiltation and when they came to do measurements. They were honest and upfront with costs and time frame to get the windows installed. They even gave us a 15% discount on our windows. Really liked the warrenty package that comes with them too. When the installers came, they were very professional and quick to get them put in.(considering the weather was cold that day). They did all 6 windows in about 8 hours, including trim. Would highly recommend Hometech windows and doors and I will be calling them again when I need the basement windows done. Thanks for everything.

    patio doors replaced

    We like to go to the homeshows to find quality contractors with a reasonable price and compare between competitors. We liked what Hometech was offering and they were having a show discount. For $2500 we were going to get new patio doors with lifetime warranty on the product. When we were ready to do the install the price went up. Of we did not get anything in writing for the patio doors but since they had our information we figured they would honor their price but they said we took too long of time. So he said that he would do something for us. The price was discounted but instead of getting the lower quality we went with a higher quality choices and while waiting for the patio doors quote I wanted to know if they did custom insert windows in my front door. He said he would get them to measure it when they came and get back to me. They were so busy that we had to wait until fall (Sept to Oct) to get them installed.They were ready earlier than expected which was nice and even though no dates were set things worked out. When it came for them to come and install the doors we were not ready and they were very good about waiting for us to do some renos before they could come in. They were also very helpful about coming in and giving advice on what they want us to do with the renos so they could do the install with ease. They came out one day just for that reason. We were very happy about everything except for them not letting me know that they could not do the custom window insert as I had to call them and ask them whether they could or could not do the that part of our request.     Window replacment

    We had the windows ordered to coincide with a major renovation project. We did not have a set date for the install at the time of order and requested that they call us prior to manufacturing so we could ensure we would be ready. We got a call in August saying the windows were done and that we had 2 weeks to install as they would not hold them. We had increase cost to the project to get the walls ready for the windows to accommodate them. On the date of the installation the installer removed 2 windows that were noticeably smaller and belonged to another window in the house that has an A/c unit in it. When we called the company to have them returned we were told that they would not and that for an additional $3,500 they would replace the window. We explained we just did a major renovation and did not have additional funds to do them at this time and we would just like the old ones returned. They said they are not responsible for the taken windows and are refusing to give them back. After submitting this review the company in order to not receive negative feed back told HomeStars that we were not customers. Copies of our invoice was sent in as evidence that we did indeed have this company do the work that we reported about.
