Home Inspection
I hired Thomas to do the home inspection. He was very thorough with the inspection and did a great job explaining the process and answering all of my questions. This is my second time hiring Thomas and would definitely hire him again.

Home inspection
Very thorough and detailed inspection and inspection report. Tom took his time, explained his findings as he inspected the house, and answered any questions I had. His infrared camera was very useful in inspecting for leaks and water damage in the basement.

Home Inspection - Condo
This is my first home purchase and despite being a condo, I still wanted a home inspection so that I may be aware of any issues before moving in. Tom was *very* thorough, pointing out many things I hadn't looked at, or even considered looking at. I peppered him with *numerous* questions, but he was very patient and kind in answering them all, and is also more than happy answer any additional questions I might have after moving in. Also I was quite impressed at how promptly and thorough his report was (provided on the same day); so if you wanted an inspection before making a quick offer, I'd certainly recommend him. In addition, the thermal-imaging gave an additional level of reassurance/assessment, that I was quite happy with. All in all he gave me a lot of reassurance in the purchase that I had made while still pointing out things I may need to monitor/pay attention to. I would certainly recommend him to anyone else that may need a home inspector in the future.

Entire home inspection
Tom Rando was very professional and made a process that could feel overwhelming a relaxing, reassuring experience. He explained with each stage what he would be doing and approximately the length of time each would take. He explained any potential issues in detail, answered all questions (in laymen’s terms where necessary) and gave recommendations.

Pre-purchase Inspection of new home
Tom is awesome! He conducted a full inspection of the new-construction home we had purchased with a condition of inspection. He was thorough, thoughtful, and an excellent communicator. He walked us through every inch of the home and property and identified any issues he found in terms of need to haves, nice to haves and tips and recommendations for upkeep and maintenance going forward. Gave us so much helpful feedback about the home and quality of the build. He also walked us through what would be required to address each issue, and which ones the builder should be responsible for. Our builder agreed to everything he identified (which, fortunately, was a pretty short list of small-ish things). His report was super helpful, and he followed up to see if we had any questions or concerns. Would 100% recommend him!

Home inspection
We were buying a condo and needed home inspection, especially one that contained testing for mold since I am severely allergic to it. Tom saved us a lot of money and health issues since 2 of the three houses we tested, did contain mold spores and he was able to identify it. He also thoroughly explained his work to us and provided a comprehensive report with potential issues and recommendations. It helped us find the right place for us.

Home Inspection and Air Quality Test
I found Tom while searching through the HomeStars site and was extremely pleased with his entire service. He was professional and very personable. While on site he took the time to explain what he was going to look for before starting the inspection and informed us verbally on his findings immediately after the inspection while taking us around the house inside and out. All was documented in his final comprehensive inspection report that was sent to us the same day, when again Tom gave us unlimited time, this time on the phone reviewing the report together and answering all the questions we had. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tom. Thank you Tom, a job very well done!

Home inspection
Tom was thorough and provided insights and education in improvements that could be made to extend the life of the house. This is the second time that we have had Tom help us with a home inspection and we’re really glad we did. We have a thorough report documenting things we can improve. He was also very responsive to follow-up questions. The thermal scan was great at the last inspection - and provided comfort with the insulation. Great value!
