We finally decided to do exterior waterproofing for our 98 year old house. Rooterman (new owners) had come to our rescue when we had a sewer back-up due to roots in our old tile drains. So when we got a very competitive bid from Stephan, we signed on. Terry and his team completed the work, including installation of a sump pump. The work started right on schedule and was completed in the expected time. After completion, when there was an issue with the sump pump operation, Stephan and Terry responded immediately, resolving the matter promptly. As the pictures show, the work is messy but the team left the site spotless and took the trouble on little things that make a difference - window well and resetting a fence post in our case.

Bathtub drain blocked this morning and another company who quoted a lower price however cancelled at the last minute. I called Stephan who had replaced our sewer a year ago and he sent Andrew within a half hour. The job was done quickly, and everything was left clean and neat. Andrew and his partner were both respectful and informative. I would recommend this company.

I was making Easter dinner and my kitchen sink became clogged. I was in a panic and called RooterMan. Robert was out within the hour and cleared the blockage. He put down sheets and wore little booties and left the area as clean as when he arrived. My family and I are so thankful that Robert was able to come and help us!

Very profesional and hard working crew. We fully trusted them being here while we had to be at work. Stephan is very knowledgeable and left our driveway untouched even though the sewer pipe went right underneath it. Excellent job guys!

I had my sewer replaced due to tree roots breaking the old one. Quote started out just under 6,000, jumped to just under 10,000 part way through. Sewer was replaced, back flow preventer added and water line updated. The guy never followed through on the correct information that entitles me to a few thousand dollars in rebates, hence I never got them. This spring my basement flooded due to water leaking in through the access panel they installed for the backflow valve. Water that has never come into our house due to weeping tiles around the outside now comes in. I suspect that they never connected them back up to the drain? The franchise has lost their license and head office claims no responsibility. The 25 year warranty on the work they did is not worth the paper it is written on. They tell me it is my responsibility to track down the old franchises insurance company to try and settle my problems. Great work guys, I'll never recommend your company to anyone. I'm also going to lodge a complaint with the better business bureau.

I had been recommended to Rooterman through a friend and what a great recommendation it was. I don't usually write reviews but wanted others to know as having drain issues is never fun. The team was fantastic from start to finish. They came out to the house very quickly and assessed the issue and made recommendations on a resolution. We were explained what was going on and how the work was going to be done in a professional manner. They came out and did the work very quickly and efficiently. The guys came and were polite and cleaned up everything as nothing was ever done. What I liked was that everything that was promised was actually done. You could tell they were experienced and there was a high quality of work. I would definitely recommend Stephan and his team. Thanks for the great work you made our lives so much easier.

We woke up in the morning, my daughter came running upstairs to tell me we had water in the basement. With all the snow melting, water had started to seep into our basement in one of corners. I got on google and called 2 local companies. The first couldn't come out for a few days, they told me they had lots of other people with similar problems. The 2nd company sent someone out: not too impressed. Everything seemed rushed, lots of technical terms were used that we really didn't understand, and they said they couldn't identify the source of the water. Told me they would have to di around the basement (at a cost) and then let us know what was wrong and how much it would. When you have a situation like this, a little bit of panic mode sets is, I got a feeling that these guys know that and seemed to "push us" to hurry up and make a decision. This expensive work that needs to be done, you have no choice, but we did not feel comfortable. My wife's friend in Oakville had some sewer issues a few weeks ago, and I remember her saying they were very pleased with the work they had done. We called her and she told us to call Steve Brodar at Rooterman. I got a hold of Steve, he was at our home within 2 hours. He was very diligent, spent a fair bit of time in the basement an found the problem . He explained to us in plain language what was going on, and EXACTLY what needed to be done. What I appreciated the most was that he made sure we knew exactly what was going on in our basement, and walked us through, step by step, what need to be done. He made a very stressful situation easier to deal with. No pressure, only recommended what needed to be done. Steve even patched up the cracks temporarily for us to at least stop the water flow to give us time to think. I called him back later that afternoon to give them the go ahead. They had a crew out first thing the next day. Steve personally came out to oversee the work, was always available to answer our questions ( of which there were many), extremely professional. We are very satisfied with our experience with Rooterman GTA. If you happen to have the misfortune of having a leaky basement, I would say the same thing that my wife's friend said: call Steve Brodar at Rooterman.

Our pipes froze on the Saturday night of the February long weekend (2015). Stephan and Stuart from Rooter-Man came on Monday, after another company came through on Sunday night and was not able to diagnose or fix the problem. They were very helpful and honest. They spent two hours trying to thaw the pipe, which was frozen outside the house between the city shutoff and the basement. When that didn't work, they laid out all of our options (i) install a high line from the neighbours, (ii) wait for the city, or (iii) replace the mainline. We went for the third, because we had a young child in the house. They arranged for a crew the next morning and by 5 pm on Tuesday the water was back on. It was very nice to deal with professionals. While we were in a bind, I never got the sense that they were trying to take advantage of the situation. In fact, it felt like quite the opposite, they were really trying to help. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

would not recommend at all.. at the time, we were impressed w their timeliness, and professionalism however about 2 months later We ended up having issues and thought it was the city pipes .. when the city came to look, it was discovered that although we paid for all clay pipes to be replaced by Rooter Man, signed the contract et , we discovered Rooter Man had in fact only replaced 8 ft of the clay pipes and left 6ft of clay pipes to the city line unreplaced (even though we were told and the contract indicated it was all replaced.

Rooter Man is not to be trusted. They claim to know what the problem and solution is but take advantage of people. They did not follow up on what they said they were doing and gave wrong information about what needed to be done. They did not follow up to complete the work and took no responsibility for providing false information. They know the loops that they can use to misguide and over charge people. From my experience, they took advantage of my situation and provided me with a wrong assessment and over charged me. Ask them if they have a customer service policy. They are unethical. I would not recommend them.
