    Pot Light + Kitchen Light Fixture Installation

    We called a few vendors to install our pot lights and fixture for our kitchen and decided to go with Mark at Green Planet Electric for the glowing reviews on Homestars and his very reasonable fee. He came in the day of, installed our light fixture in our kitchen in 2 minutes (!) and then got down to working on our 8 pot lights. There was some complications with where the pot lights were going to be positioned among other things which he worked on for pretty much the entire day. He walked through and explained the different issues involved and was professional throughout the entire process. We actually forgot to purchase covers for the dimmers that we also had him install, and he was kind enough to give us the covers free of charge. We would not hesitate to recommend Mark and his services to others who are needing electrical work done in their home!

    Electrical issues throughout house

    We had a few electrical issues that needed to be addressed so I checked with neighbours and then HomeStars to find an appropriate electrician. After seeing a review of a similar issue, we gave Mark a call. As it was not an emergency, he fit us in within 48 hours, diagnosed and installed a temporary solution and came back with parts for a permanent solution, again within 48 hours. First issue was that ALL the 16 pot lights had blown in the family room. Diagnosed very quickly and put in a temporary new switch which solved the problem, buying the right grade dimmer switch for the next appointment. He also found and resolved issues with two connections and one overheated socket. Second issue: outdoor electric plug not working. Again diagnosed quickly and replaced plug. Third issue: bathroom fan would not turn off...this issue required a lot of diagnostics and some rewiring. Mark explained and showed where possible, each of the issues and solutions. Both days he arrived on time, was very knowledgable and personable. Both days I was home alone and got on with my work and found him to be very trustworthy and honest. I will use him again and recommend him for your electrical needs!!

    Air Curtain Install

    This is the 2nd time we have used Mark and both times have been exceptional despite me not being there all the time. Mark is trustworthy, honest and hard working. He even takes the little things like wiping the dust off some places I missed so my customers don't see any mess. Touch of Class!! Highly recommend and I'll use him again too.

    Electrical Circuit failure

    We had a circuit failure in our home and needed an electrician to diagnose and repair. We are in an older home with aluminum wiring. Mark was the only electrician out of 5 that called me back. The other 4 local contractors have yet to return my call. Mark was courteous and came the next day. He located 2 separate issues in our rather old wiring and repaired them quickly, and with us fearing the worst, the outcome couldn't have been better. Thank you to Mark for prompt, courteous and professional service!

    Light fixture partial replacement

    Mark is a great electrician and a great guy. He is prompt, professional, and attentive. He understood exactly what we wanted to do and delivered, without trying to upsell us on anything. Mark will be our go-to electrician for everything from now on.

    Fixed Dining Room Light

    Green Planet Electric (Mark) fixed my dining room light very quickly, even though there was more of a problem than originally thought. He was very friendly and punctual. Would definitely recommend.

    Change & install ceiling fixtures

    I hired Mark after checking all the Home Stars electricians and was incredibly happy I did...definitely the right choice. He provided a quote the same day it was requested which is somewhat unheard of. He was on time, neat, respectful & competent and when the fixtures I provided ended up being a challenge to say the least, including the 34" round contemporary chandelier which had to be placed on a sloped 20' high ceiling, he never once lost patience. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for the quintessential electrician.

    Landscape lighting

    I contacted Mark regarding the timer for my landscape lighting. Although he was not familiar with my timer he was quickly able to resolve the problem. Very professional and responsive. Highly recommended.

    Dishwasher hookup and Stove Hood Hookup

    Mark was on time and punctual to the second. He always picked up the phone when I called and his work was done efficiently and effectively. I will be calling him in the future, I'm happy, because I now have an electrician on speed dial.

    Light replacement

    I've used Mark at least three or four times in the past year. He's always responsive when I call him (even once coming out on a Sunday) and is fast, professional, tidy and very pleasant. I really like knowing that I can call Mark whenever I have an electrical need in my old house. I also think his rates are VERY reasonable. Overall, I have been VERY pleased with Mark’s work and my dealings with Green Planet Electric. Recommended – highly.
