This is the third job that we have had Kurt and his crew do. They are beyond amazing and every job is excellent. We don’t even get quotes anymore because we know that Kurt and his crew will do the job right and exceed our expectations. They are professional and friendly but most important they know what they are doing. We would highly recommend this Company and we are going to book them next year for the front of our property. I was 8 months pregnant when I called Kurt in tears about a landscaping job gone bad. We put a pool in during the summer (2019) and were left scrambling with an incredible amount of dirt, rock, debris – and a fast approaching c-section. It was a large job (landscaping in both the front and back yards) and it was already September. Kurt was so accommodating and professional, right from our very first phone conversation. He was able to come over that same day and see our yard and managed to (somehow!) work us into his existing schedule for the fall. After a bad experience with a previous landscaper, we were incredibly nervous. Kurt was so very patient. He took the time to reassure us that the work would be done properly, professionally and on time. Kurt and his team came into the project partway through, which meant considerable clean-up and preparation before any stone could be laid. We spoke directly to Kurt, who was on-site during construction to guide this process so there was no miscommunication. Every morning the crew showed up promptly and worked diligently through the day. At the end of the day, the clean-up was immaculate. Every tool, every machine – everything! was returned to its proper location and the yard was left spotless. Everyone at Distinctive Designs was so incredibly polite and efficient. It very quickly became clear that we had chosen a team that takes pride in the work they do. It was so refreshing and such a relief given our previous experience! We knew when Kurt and his team started that the work would not be complete before our new baby arrived. We left for the hospital just before the crew was finished wrapping up, feeling confident that things were in great hands. When we returned home (new baby in tow!) everything was finished beautifully. The work was everything we could have hoped for and more. When Kurt began, I told him that we wanted to pay a professional for a professional job, completed in a reasonable timeframe. Distinctive Designs Landscaping not only met, but exceeded, these expectations. If you are in the market for landscaping services, this is a team you can trust to do an excellent job. Our only regret is not calling Kurt sooner. We can’t wait for summer to enjoy our yard!

Kurt and his team transformed our backyard in summer 2019. We are late getting this review out, but we've been singing his praises for months! The Distinctive Designs team's attention to detail, focus on our job and hard work was truly second to none. They had a big job ahead of them including digging up a ton of concrete, demo, building a deck, laying stone (with gorgeous border detail), building a fence, built-in BBQ, lighting, and landscaping. They were always on time, there was fantastic communication throughout the project, consistent updates and transparency around challenges, collaboration on design (encouragement and patience when we made changes!), clean-up every day, and even consistent follow up after the project was done to ensure our satisfaction. Kurt and his team are respectful not only of our needs but also the community - talking to neighbours and remaining courteous all-round. We honestly couldn't be happier. If you want beautiful work, done on time AND on budget work with Distinctive Designs.

We truly cannot express how thrilled we are with the HUGE job that Kurt and his awesome team did at our house this past summer. Right from the first phone call to Kurt last winter through to the completion of a month long project, Kurt was professional, approachable, informative, an absolute pleasure to deal with - not to mention that he is ridiculously hard working. Through multiple meetings with Kurt he worked with us to create what we had dreamt to be our perfect designs, both front and back. He suggested things that we would have completely regretted not doing, and he gently pushed when he felt we might be making a poor decision (we would have been kicking ourselves if we hadn't listened to him and done landscape lighting). With that said, he was always completely respectful and realized when we may not agree. We literally could not be happier with the results of our project which included complete front and back landscaping, stone work including stone porch, an interlock walkway and driveway, backyard set of gorgeous steps, walkway, gas fire pit, irrigation system and landscape lighting. We have no doubt that the workmanship will last for many, many years but we also have great comfort knowing that if something were to need adjustment, Kurt would be here as soon as possible to make it right. Kurt was a master at making changes on the fly whether it be adjusting our plan or adding in things that we hadn't thought of in advance (like a row of cedars that were planted before we even knew they'd arrived). Normally having a group of guys around daily for 4 weeks could prove to be overwhelming, however these guys were an absolute pleasure. They were respectful, friendly, and like Kurt, incredibly hard working. We could not imagine having used anyone else for this project. Anyone considering landscape work should absolutely give Kurt a call, we highly recommend Distinctive Designs Landscaping and we would use them again in a heart beat! Thanks Kurt and Team!!

Kurt and his crew were super professional and super easy to work with. No surprises, in fact they over delivered. The job was done in the time frame that they said it would be. The work area was always clean when they left for the day and completely respected my neighbours property during the construction. I would highly recommend Kurt and his crew. The workmanship is exceptional!

Kurt has done 4 jobs for me. Two at my old house and two at my new house. Twice I was out of town when the work was done. I am very pleased with the work he and his crew did. They were on time, cleaned up after the work was done each day. Kurt is a very honest and forthright contractor. You will not go wrong with him. Kurt it was a pleasure to have met you and your crew. We're very pleased with Kurt and his team's work on our new front yard hardscaping project. Kurt was able to take our initial ideas and build on them to come up with an attractive design and quality materials. One the work was underway the Distinctive Designs team worked efficiently and got the job done as promised. Kurt is indeed focused on conceiving and delivering distinctive designs and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a landscaping contractor that is committed to delivering standout work.

Kurt and his team were really fantastic. From the first interview to the final touch-ups, they were responsive and professional. We had an idea of what we wanted and Kurt was able to steer us to exactly what we wanted. He and his team ran into some obstacles along the way, came up with solutions and kept me fully apprised. At the end, I decided to have my weeds replaced with a lawn (that should buy me another few years) - No problem for DDL - they STILL completed the work on time. Thanks Kurt - to you and your team.

Kurt and his team were professional and dedicated to our project. Kurt was able to coordinate the seamless completion of other services such as irrigation and paving. It was great to work with this team, and we hope to have them back again next year.
