I had a big old conifer in the back yard that had the bottom 15 feet pruned back to the trunk. While I enjoyed the shade, it made the entire yard unusable with its needles and pinecones, not to mention shading three quarters of the yard with its 8+ meter width. I found Sky High on Homestars, and after receiving four quotes decided to trust the existing reviews and go with them. They gave the lowest quote by some margin, and also offered to grind down a small, old stump on the other side of the yard free of charge. Well, the removal was done while I was at work, and was flawless. They even managed the power interruption requirements with Enmax, as some branches hung on top of the overhead lines to my home. The yard was left in near-perfect shape, the main stump and surface roots (and bonus secondary stump!) were all ground down 12" below grade, and the holes were very nicely patched and smoothed. All branches were gone, and the yard was left every bit as tidy as when I had left for the day. Further, they had prepared the trunk wood into foot-long rounds for burning. I am absolutely 100% pleased with the quality of the service and the cost, and will not hesitate to use Sky High for *all* my future needs as long as I'm in Calgary. Seriously, I cannot overstate just how happy I am with their work. As a postscript, Linda in their office was simply a joy to deal with. She was exceptional with her organization of the job and communication; Very prompt and professional, while also managing to be quite pleasant to deal with. Thanks, Linda!

A row of 8 mature spruce trees in my urban residential lot, some as tall as 20 metres, needed thinning. Sky High removed every second tree (4 in total). I was able to watch as the first two were removed, and noted that the three individuals at work were competent, careful, and mindful of safety and confining fallen branches to my property, not the neighbour's. All branches were chipped for removal, and they cleaned up very thoroughly before leaving. I was completely satisfied. RBH

Needed to have a tree removed and a cotoneaster hedge cut down, and wasn't sure who to call. Saw a Sky High Tree Service truck in my area, Googled to check reviews, and sent them an email. Very quick reply from Linda, who was ever so helpful. Wasn't long before Sky High came to do the job. We were not home at the time, but came back to find the tree removed, the stump ground, and the hedge cut down, just as we had asked. They were very efficient, and very tidy, not even a twig left on the lawn! Price was great too! Would highly recommend!

This is the second time I have had Skyhigh do work for me. Both times I was very happy with their work. The office person - Linda, is helpful & prompt. The owner - Wes, is extremely knowledgeable and has good judgement in what to cut. My large spruce trees & apple tree were over grown , looked nasty , & were blocking my sunlight in backyard. Wes cleaned them all up - truly looks great - very very happy (ps I had used another company in past & they did a terrible job so I truly know what I am saying - great service from Skyhigh). Disappointed with the amount removed. They were here and gone in much less <2 hours and there are still broken branches and others that are blatantly dead hanging of ever tree that was "pruned". There was little or no effort to thin out the trees up to any height above 6-8 feet.

WOW. Micha and the boys were safe, efficient, fast, and very thorough with their cleanup. They came on the day promised, Feb 1, which is very early for the Calgary and removed a 40 foot green ash and stump from our front yard in only 1 1/2 hours. Excellent work and very courteous. Would highly recommend this company.

OuWe have a beautiful, old (50+ years) Manitoba Maple in our back yard. The branches were getting too close to power lines and we needed it pruned. She had also sustained damage due to heavy snow falls and wind damage in the last year. We called Sky High and they came out within 24 hours to quote then came back within a couple of days to do the actual work. From my first contact with this company (Linda answered my original call), everyone was customer focused. The job was done on time, within quote and all cleanup was taken care of. Our old tree survived and according to Wes (lead guy who did the job), we should have many more years to enjoy her! Thank you Wes, Linda and the rest of the Sky High crew!!

This is our 4th. association with Sky High via family and ourselves. Good prices, on time, thorough, safe and friendly. Did not price check the last job with a very large evergreen as safety more important than price .

We have a lot of trees and hedges all over our property, and my husband does not have a knack for pruning. So we decided to hire Sky High Tree Service based on a friend's recommendation. They came and trimmed all of our trees and hedges and even made our overgrown lilac bush into a martini glass shape. I had no idea they could look so good! Our neighbours also got theirs done so the guys were here all day long. The amount of branches they mulched was unbelievable to me! The guys were all so friendly and the service was top notch. Definitely highly recommend this company.

These guys are great!! I was called the day before and advised they would be here next morning. I had an appointment so I could not greet them when they arrived. When I got home at 11:00 am the 40 foot spruce was gone, the stump had been ground down and the yard and street were clean. I didn't even get to see the removal. Three of my neighbors commented how impressed they were with job and how clean they left the street.
