Our hardwood floor was REPLACED when we moved in 4 YEARS ago and they left the floors looking like a PIG STY after the window installation. JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURES. I paid $13,900+ to replace all windows in our semi, except for one window. They did the work March 10,2022 and the pictures will show the amount of dirt they left on the property. They put few drop cloths on the floor but after an hour into the installation, they removed them, so I got muddy shoeprints of 3 people (going in and out of the house) all over the floor. There is not a spot on the floor without the mud. When I send these photos, I got excuses in return, NO APOLOGIES. I was told by Terry, the salesperson that when you are doing home renovations, this is expected and that it is in the contract. After spending close to midnight cleaning the 2nd floor and another 3 hours cleaning the main floor the next day, I got a call at around 6:30 PM the next day from one of the workers who told me he is coming by to remove the mounds of TAR (BLACK STICKY SUBSTANCE) LEFT ON THE HARDWOOD FLOOR. When I told him we already called someone to remove them, he replied that the tar came from our window and that if he saw it, he would have removed it. I just scratched my head because IF THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO JUST EVEN SWEEPING, HOW COULD THEY MISSED THESE MOUNDS OF STICKY SUBSTANCE on the floor.
Sure we have new windows now BUT our FLOOR IS RUINED. We cannot bring back the luster of the wood. They also damaged a wall and left tar stains on the kitchen cabinet door. Our alarm got disconnected on 3 areas and I was told it is to be expected and not their responsibility.
So lesson here, if you are contracting this company to do your window, BE PREPARED physically and emotionally for what is to come. Best of LUCK to you, it's too late for me!!!
