Contacted them via homestars and got a prompt call back the following morning. Dimitry came and provided a quote the same day. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was immediately sold on his customer service and felt confident in his company. The install was scheduled a few days later. The crew that showed up arrived on time. Crew was very friendly and professional. The back splash replacement went flawlessly. My wife and I were extremely impressed by the attention to detail and workman ship preformed by the installers. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for tile work to be done. Jeff

found Tilestar on Homestar, than they were recommended to me by friends. Dima helped with estimate and recommended were to buy good quality tiles. Advised how to see the difference between high and low quality tiles. he personally and his team installed floor tiles and backsplash. smooth transaction, very professional and clean service. will be calling them again to lay matching tiles in the hallway. Strongly recommend for future projects!!

Project: White Glacier marble tiles 3 X 6, Herringbone style, Grout colour: Mapei Keracolor unsanded Frost #U77 After calling many companies, we felt TileStars can be trusted because 1) Dmitri took the time to respond to my initial call (it's only 18 sq. feet), and gave us a quote which is reasonable, and 2) When I asked if the price includes sealing the tiles, he said "Of course, before and after (grouting)! It's marble!" Another famous company quoted a much cheaper price, but when I mentioned sealing the tiles, the response was, "Seal?? What do you mean?" Work: Sasha and Bashan did a great job and created the grout lines which are narrower than I expected! The result is very beautiful. Sasha also patiently and professionally answered all my questions and cleaned up afterward. Service: We kept changing the date of the 2nd visit to seal the tiles. Dmitri was very accommodating and came on the exact day and time we needed him to come in such a short notice! He even installed the Quartz backsplash in the bathroom without charging extra! Conclusion: We would certainly ask TileStars and Sasha to install our next marble backsplash, and have recommended TileStars to a neighbour who saw our kitchen. p.s. if you choose Glacier White marble, you may want to wait at least a week before the 2nd seal to reduce the "picture framing" effect.

Having been left high and dry by a crooked contractor, I was left scrambling to complete my kitchen reno. TILESTARS responded immediately to a quote request, were able to get to site quickly and completed the job on schedule; with great quality and a great attitude. Their advise on dealing with some of the challenges of my design gave me the options I needed to make some informed decisions. Their solutions and workmanship were first rate. They even repaired a couple of the bad floor tiles the previous contractor had installed! Do not hesitate to use these guys - very professional.

Dmitry came the next day after my call for estimate. He sent one of his guys to do the job soon after. The quality is great, and this includes re-doing after another contractor. Will for sure get back to these guys when I'm ready for full renovation.

We contacted Dmitri after reviewing the great comments for his company on homestars. We updated our roman tub faucet and the plumber had to remove several tiles to work on and replace the faucet. Dmitri asked me to send him a photo so as he could provide an estimate. We agreed on the price, and he came over two days before the job was to be done so we could decide on the color of the grout. He arrived on time, completed the job to our satisfaction and you would never know the tiles had been removed in the first place. Dmitri is very polite, professional, and did not leave us a mess. I would one hundred percent recommend him to friends and family.

Part of what makes a good contractor is how they service the customer, not only when everything goes right, but also when there is a hiccup in the process. Dmitri was contracted to do some repairs on our shower floor. He sent his employee Chris to do the work. Chris was prompt and courteous while in our home. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the original work done. When I called Dmitri to report the issue, he came immediately that night. He was very apologetic and worked in an expeditious manner to rectify the problem all at his cost. I was very impressed on how he dealt with the issue. Dmitri is a true professional and truly cares that his customers are 100% satisfied. Based on his service and attitude, I would not hesitate to recommend Dmitri and Tilestars. I am already planning the next project I want them to do.

I picked a tile that was a little more complex than I bargained for. Dmitri suggested that I not use grout, which had me worried because I am so used to finishes with grout. I trusted his method and the final product was stunning, to say the least. I will not hesitate to call on Tile Stars again for my next design project.

There are always problems that arise during any renovation, no matter how big or small, and the thing I really like and respect about TileStars is you can always reach Dmitri (even on weekends!) and if there's a problem, he comes and fixes it right away and makes sure you are satisfied with the result. He also calls after the job is complete to make sure you are 100% happy with the result.
