We moved into a new place late last year and needed more kitchen cabinetry to match what was already there. I contacted Malcolm McGrath because of the reviews I read on Homestars. REALLY glad to have met Malcolm and to have worked with him. He is beyond knowledgeable in all things construction. He measured the kitchen properly, made recommendations that worked, took his time and completed the job efficiently and beautifully. His work and craftsmanship are unparalleled and I wouldn't hesitate to ask him for help at any time. He's meticulous and brilliant with what he does. Malcolm is a master carpenter and I would always recommend him!

Skip McGrath is a contracting dream come true. He's smart, design-oriented, very careful and attentive to the needs of the customer, and finished the project on time and on budget. He built a custom library and office in our apartment: everything is functional and the craftsmanship is superb. We have just used Malcolm McGrath for the third time. We had some ideas of how we wanted to create a home office. Malcolm improved on the ideas and suggested specific woods to blend in with our furniture. The work was beautifully finished, and we now have a very functional workspace. We hired Malcolm (Skip) McGrath to design and build custom cabinets for our newly renovated basement - in the living area, bathroom and under the stairs storage. Skip guided us through the design process and came up with innovative and space saving ideas with the modern aesthetic we were looking for (even down to the hardware). He provided us with various options and had many samples of woodwork and hardware for us to review. The end result was beautiful and looked better than we could have imagined - we are extremely pleased with it. He and his team did a great job installing all of the cabinets and took the time to ensure everything looked perfect. I would highly recommend this creative designer and skilled craftsman.

Malcolm (aka Skip) built two vanities and a medicine cabinet for us. We had some unusual issues to work with -- two of the pieces had to be easily removable for access to plumbing -- but he came through with creative solutions that work and look great. He worked quickly and was very pleasant to work with.
