We recently had our window coverings installed and are very pleased with the product, price and installation. We in the past had used a different company for our previous properties but decided to venture into the unknown and had searched for a top rated window coverings place online and came across Model Space Design and read the reviews on Homestars and decided to have them come and give us a quote. Sara came to our home and provided some suggestion on what she felt would look best and put together a quote for us. We still wanted to compare how our regular guys matched up and had them come by and provide a quote as well, both came in very close but when it came to negotiations Sara’s price could not be beat! Sara was also patient and never pushy with us during the decision making process which took us some time, we had a lot of back and forth question on details of the final look as well as made some changes along the way. I believe she came to our home 3 times with samples prior to us even committing to her. Once we made our final selection, Sara gave us a time frame for install and came in on time with the installation with no delays. Mike the installer came on the day and did a fantastic job installing all the window coverings. We got a mixture of ripple fold drapes/sheers and some rollers shades. Mike was very pleasant and certainly is an expert installer. Overall I would 100% recommend Model Space Design, both Sara and Mike were a pleasure to deal with. I’ve actually already recommended them to friends moving into a new condo over my previous window coverings place.

This review has been long overdue! It was just over a year ago that I initially contacted Sara of Model Space Designs to consult on window treatment options for one of my design projects. I recommended to my clients at the time custom window drapery to cover and dress the floor to ceiling windows of their condo. My clients initially hesitated at the thought of “custom” drapery thinking that it would cost more than what you can get off the rack. But the long term benefits (both aesthetically and financially) of customized window treatments outweighed the initial investment. My clients agreed. After speaking to Sara about the colour scheme of the overall design, she met with me and my clients for a personalized consultation in the space where the custom drapery was to be installed. She came well prepared with a host of fabric catalogues and offered her recommendations as to the best option for window treatments. My clients appreciated Sara’s depth of knowledge and experience in window treatments and at the same time, they were more than comfortable with the fact that I brought in a professional in the field of window treatments. By the end of the consultation, my clients were happy with their chosen fabric and style of drapery (earth tone silk fabric with a polyester lining in a modern ripple fold style). Because of the nature of customization, it took a few weeks for the custom drapes to be delivered and installed. But wait was well worth it! The end result was both breathtaking and beautiful. The custom drapes enhanced the overall look of the design and my clients were not only thrilled but very happy with the end result. To this day, they and their friends often comment on how gorgeous the custom drapes are. As a designer, it always makes me happy to know that my clients are happy with the end results. There are certainly plenty of vendors out there but I wanted the best in the field. And the best is Sara of Model Space Designs. From a designer perspective, it’s been a busy year for me and I can definitely say without a doubt that Sara has been there on multiple projects now to provide window treatment solutions. Each time, she comes well prepared with her professionalism, host of fabric samples and her lengthy experience in the industry. She would always go out of her way to satisfy my clients and for that I'm truly greatful. We did not have any window coverings when we moved into our new house. We hired Sara to install new Hunter Douglas Blinds to our living room, and now it looks absolutely wonderful. Sara gave us a very competitive price for what we had asked for and we are very pleased with her professionalism and service.

Sara suggested several options for my living room and office windows. She had a large range of fabrics and -- most important -- agreed with my decisions with no attempt to sell me more expensive options. Her installer, Mile, was admirably efficient. The result? Just what I'd hoped for.

For over a year we didn't know what to do for our windows, we wanted to keep the natural light but we also needed privacy. We also didn't like blinds, and needed something else that would fit onto the tiny space of our kitchen walkout. Luckily Sara came up with amazing solutions within the first hour of her first visit and she was also capable of ensuring anything you have a picture of became reality. Everything she suggested was in a style we liked and the fabrics we chose are divine. More importantly, everything was installed quickly and with minimal disruption to our schedule. She also included a cute pillow for our cat!

I got custom draperies in my living and dining room by Model Space Designs. I was having trouble figuring out what to do with my oddly-shaped windows and how to complement my existing furniture. I thought that it would be too expensive to get custom draperies done but a friend of mine suggested Model Space Designs so I gave them a call. The service was great and I’m very pleased with the end result. And most importantly it was very affordable! I highly recommend them if you’re considering window coverings for your home.

I have been working with Sara from Model Space Designs to purchase custom window treatments for my entire home. Model Space Designs does beautiful drapes and Roman shades and has a great selection of products and fabrics. I was able to find everything I was looking for and Sara was very helpful in selecting the window treatments, colours and fabrics.

This is the second time I've used this company and the service is truly second to none. I had a small follow up project for Sara since she installed blinds and drapes throughout my condo, and the cushions and re-uphostering of my small ottoman was fanstastic. I've shopped the competition, and even wasted my money with the competition on a previous project, and I can honestly say dealing with Model Space Designs is so refreshing. If you are looking for a good blinds that won't break your bank I recommend ModelSpaceDesigns. I lucked out going with this company as they did a fantastic job . They offered practical ideas for the kitchen and Bedrooms that I may have never thought of on my own. I was impressed by the care and thought put into the ideas. The service was outstanding . Wonderfull experience overall!

Sara gave me a very competitive quote on installing shutters for my patio doors. The shutters were ready on time and Mike did an excellent job installing them. I am very happy and will definately recommend Model Space Designs to others. John in Pickering
