    Landscape design and planting

    M.E. was a delight to deal with. She was able to come up with a wonderful design that enhances some unusual small pieces of land that we have in front of our house. She listened to what we wanted in terms of the type of look and low maintenance and then designed a very creative and attractive plan that far exceeded our expectations, yet fit within our budget. The result was a very attractive garden with additional flourishes like trellises and large planter urns that enhanced our front entrance. Ann is very hands on and was there for the plantings by her crew. Her crew were very polite and cleaned the area after they were done. Anne was excellent with follow-up, including promptly replacing one planting that had died from shock, We would highly recommend this company.

    Glass and Steel Deck and Stone Patio

    M.E. Contracting completed a deck, patio and backyard renovation project for us this past Summer. We were apprehensive about the job done being properly as the deck was going to be glass and steel and substantially elevated. We contacted a good number of landscaping and decking companies. A number of decking companies declined the project as the height , and materials of the deck were beyond the scope and experience of what they had done, and several were outrageously expensive. We dealt with Daryl , who project managed and went through in detail the planning scope and execution of the work. He was not fixed on his ideas and open to what WE wanted. The work was done according to plan , and executed really well. The whole team Daryl , Blake , Claudio, Simone and everyone on site was very professional , respectful and open. The communication at all stages was excellent . There was very little chasing around and anticipated delays were communicated well in advance. They did a great job and we would highly recommend them.

    Extensive Hardscaping Project

    We recently had an extensive multi-phase project done by ME Contracting, which included grading, asphalt driveway, paver patio and sidewalks, concrete planters and address wall, and a steel and glass staircase and railings. We were very pleased with Daryl’s management of the project. He has a solid knowledge of landscape construction that enabled him to come up with creative solutions, and we liked his collaborative, customer-focused approach and positive ‘can-do’ attitude. He always gave us the straight facts, which helped to build a good working relationship throughout the job. We are absolutely thrilled with the glass and steel staircase and railings that Kaz built. He is a skilled craftsman and very meticulous. If we were reviewing this alone, we would give ME 11 out of 10 stars. The true test of a company though is not just the quality of work, but how they handle issues. Keren kept tabs on the project, and when a couple of glitches occurred, Keren addressed these and made sure that we were ultimately satisfied with the results. Overall, we are happy with the outcome, and would definitely work with ME Contracting again.

    Deck, basement walkout, landscaping and fencing

    M.E. Contracting did a fabulous job in adding a basement walkout and a deck to the back of our home in downtown Toronto. They also landscaped the backyard, added fencing etc. Not only was the price competitive and the project delivered on time, but Daryl was always very responsive and his team were friendly and professional.     Backyard Makeover

    We could not be happier with our experience M.E. Contracting. From the start Benda and Daryl took the time to tour the showroom and discuss options and ideas for our renovation. Daryl and team were very helpful and accommodative matching our needs and wants with our budget. Claudio and the build team were very professional and friendly, open to feedback and accommodating every detail and minute adjustment we asked for. The end result was exactly what we wanted with no surprises along the way.

    Front yard restoration

    From day one Daryl and the boys were spot on. Daryl worked with us in the beginning to help us stay within our budget by providing more affordable options in our renovation. Our renovation consisted of a new permeable parking pad, pressure treated planter box retaining walls and a new stone like stairway. We are very pleased with how it all came together and the final outcome. The site Forman and crew were very professional and kept us informed the whole time. Even came up with a better suggestion for the planter boxes that ended up looking even better. Our project was started when they said they would and finished up in a very timely manner (even worked 2 days straight in the damp, cold rain). Will definitely be calling these guys for future projects. Thank you very much to everyone at M.E. for making this a great renovation for us.

    Backyard Deck

    I used Daryl and the M.E. team to build a PVC deck and provide landscaping services in my backyard. Daryl was a great project manager who provided insight, expert knowledge and importantly transparency through the whole project. Daryl was accessible and easy to work with. I'd certainly recommend Daryl and the M.E. team to others who are in need of their services

    Great work on courtyard entry to half basement

    Daryl, Blake and their team installed a timber retaining wall, gravel and some pavers to service the sunken entry to our half basement. It was a challenging job, with very hard clay soil and a good deal of grading. The team did a great job. They listened to our direction and were flexible towards our design, even when it meant more work for them. We had a great experience with ME and would recommend highly.

    Back deck and front yard

    What a fantastic company. Daryl has chosen the best for sub-contracting, in this case Living Construction. Tomer and John (and others) did a fantastic job, demolishing a deck, building another, and landscaping the front. All In 2 1/2 weeks as promised. Started on time and did not go away to other jobs during this one. Daryl, Tomer and John listened to us, and never complained when asked for a few little extras. Professional work all-round - for example, we had a 4x4 hole in the basement wall (an old coal entry) which we expected just to be covered with plywood again. No - Tomer went off to get concrete blocks and made a solid wall - no extra charge. Everything around the deck and the front foundation was well sealed. So many professional touches. And they really worked hard, some days 7 to 6, 20 min. for lunch. The payment schedule was great - Some to begin, some along the way, hold back some at end to make sure everything was done (and they willingly came back to fix a few little things). The reason i am giving so much detail is that this is unusual for construction companies. Great job - company highly recommended!!

    backyard renovation

    After getting several quotes for our backyard renovation and meeting with Daryl several times, we decided to go with ME Contracting to complete our backyard renovation. It was one of the best decisions we made. Daryl was present every step of the way, and made sure we were happy with every day that passed. He made sure that the workers were doing their job accurately and with detail. . Met the owner, Eitan, as well. He too was present and made recommendations to complete our project. Over many years, ive worked with contractors who didnt do what they said they would, never returned to complete something, and rarely showed up when they said they would. Not with ME Contracting. they did what they said they would, showed up when they said they would, and did exactly what we discussed. At one point i did not take Daryl's advice and wanted something to be done my way. They did it my way. I wasnt happy the way it looked, and without any hesitation, any resistance and without any additional cost, they ripped it down and redid it the way Daryl initially proposed. Just one example of unreal service and professionalism. I would recommend ME contracting to anybody doing a backyard renovation. Thank you for everything !!!!!!!
