    Hardwood Flooring/Reface of Stairs

    Choosing what to upgrade in your home is always a tough decision. After 2 years and a number of competing quotes I chose Ideal Stairs and what a great decision this was! Mesh and Rajan made some great recommendations on the major issue such as wood stain for the reface of my old oak/carpet combination on my stairs and minor issues such as the type of metal spindle, the heat registers for the hardwood flooring and the type of baseboard. At $32,000 the project was expensive, however as my real estate agent agreed Ideal Stairs managed to do a great refresh/improvement to my 18 year old home! For those that want a Company that treats their home as though it were their own choose Ideal Stairs. Their patience with rectifying all issues identified was outstanding and I have to admit that the project didn't end until I was totally satisfied. The clean up by the team on exit and the use of a professional cleaning crew to make my house sparkle helped to end the project on a high note. Thank you Ideal Stairs!

    Hardwood stairs

    We had Ideal Stairs install hardwood on our staircase. They were professional, on time and the end result was a great set of new stairs. I would recommend them to anybody.

    Stair Renovation & Flooring Installation

    We recently had Mesh, Rajan and their install team renovate our carpeted staircase along with installing hardwood on our second floor landing. We had planned to do this renovation in July and after a few calls out to other stair companies in the area, all not able to take on the job until 2018, Mesh and Rajan accepted the job, even though we weren’t in the GTA. The entire experience from beginning to end was a very positive one and we knew right from the start, we had made the right decision to go with Ideal Stairs. From our initial contact with Mesh and Rajan, and all through the renovation, both were always so very professional and a pleasure to deal with. They called regularly throughout the renovation to check in to see if we were happy with how things were progressing, and to ask if there were any issues or concerns. We always knew ahead of time when the crew was arriving and what they would be doing. We really appreciated the customer care we were given. The install crew were very respectful while working in our home and always left their work area clean and tidy at the end of each day. They are very skilled and hardworking individuals who care about the quality of their work and it shows. Renovations can be stressful, however this one was not. We are so pleased with the final result and would not hesitate at all to recommend Ideal Stairs to our family and friends.

    Stairs

    Ideal Stairs were a pleasure to work with. We were very happy with the entire experience and final product. Mesh and team were very professional. He communicated with us through the entire experience, the team kept the work site tidy and they ensured we were still able to "live" through the renovation. We would definitely recommend them.

    Stairs and Hardwood Flooring Reno

    We chose ideal stairs over other companies that we interviewed to update our old carpeted stairs and upper loft/hallway area with hardwood and wrought iron staircase. We felt comfortable with Mesh and Rajan as they explained the process to us in detail including a colour for the railing called Burnt Penny which we never thought of. We felt confident with our decision and the advice given. We are so pleased with how hard the team worked on our behalf including the clean up each and every day. The finished result is absolutely stunning!! I find myself just staring at the stairs and railing as it's a work of art. It’s very precise and gorgeous. I highly recommend Ideal Stairs to anyone who wants to update their staircase and installation of hardwood flooring. Kathy

    Stairs and Hardwood flooring upgrade

    We had a great overall experience with Ideal Stairs from beginning to end. It was a major project to upgrade the stairs and hardwood for our entire townhouse which includes 3 flights of stairs and approx 1200 sq.ft of flooring. We arranged an in-house consultation and received a detailed estimate right away. For a reno this big, we wanted to ensure we went with a company that was reliable, reputable and reasonably priced. Originally the job was scheduled to begin at the end of the month, but they managed to accommodate us 3 weeks earlier which was great considering that other companies are easily booked into the summer or can’t start for several weeks. We were advised that the job would take 2.5-3 weeks to complete, and they definitely delivered on time. You could see the substantial progress they made after every day. Once the team started they worked quickly and very efficiently and always made sure to clean up after they were finished. Any working materials or tools were always stored away safely. This was extremely important because we stayed in the house despite construction on 3 levels, so this made everyday living for a couple weeks still manageable for us. Throughout the project, we made some custom requests and even changed our mind about the style of posts/pickets we wanted. We also had to redo some of the staining at the beginning to ensure the colour match to the hardwood flooring was just right. The team accommodated our requests without hesitation and seamlessly made the changes we asked for. Rajan, who manages the work crew, followed up with us everyday for scheduling and status updates so we were always aware of who was coming and what the objectives of the day were. He also checked in at the end of the day to ensure we were satisfied and pleased with what was done that day. The outcome of the stairs and flooring are beautiful and modern. After the job was done they even sent over a team of cleaners to thoroughly clean the entire house - we are so appreciative of this extended and considerate service. The management team and work crew are professional, courteous, and responsive and we definitely recommend their services to anyone who wants their job done timely and properly. We're grateful for their efforts and commitment to this project.

    Stair Renovation

    We are extremely pleased with our new updated staircase. The treads were sanded and stained, the stringers painted white, and new risers, wrought iron spindles and oak handrail/ posts were added. Dealing with Ideal Stairs was a positive experience from beginning to end. We would absolutely use this company again and would recommend them to others. Everyone we dealt with was very professional, courteous and friendly. The work crew was well organized, reliable, hard working and always cleaned up before leaving. The quality of the work was great...they matched the stair colour to the existing hardwood on the main floor, took extra effort to rid the stairs of creaks and took care not to damage the wallpaper. There was one complication with the handrail and Ideal Stairs exhibited excellent communication and customer service throughout the corrective process. Thanks again to the whole team. You exceeded our expectations and were an absolute pleasure to deal with.

    Staircase Remodel

    Mesh and his team did an amazing job remodeling our staircase. Very quick an easy quote, they finished earlier than they initially quoted and matched the stain of the upstairs flooring perfectly. Definitely exceeded my expectations. The cost included laying the upstairs hallway floors as well as one of the bedrooms.

    Stairs

    We are more than satisfied with the work done to update our old carpeted stairs to a contemporary wood staircase. The workers on the project did their jobs expertly and were very detail oriented to produce impeccable results. They were punctual and cleaned up after they finished work each day. Mesh and Rajan as project managers were very professional and accommodating when we required them to do some additional work. Excellent results on budget and on time. All our friends and visitors are impressed by the impact this upgrade makes to our entrance and hallway.

    Stairs Renovation

    As part of a major house renovation, Ideal Stairs completed a stairs upgrade for us that included replacing our wooden spindles with wrought iron, staining the wooden handrail and nosing, removing carpeting, finishing the hardwood underneath and painting the risers and trim. The result is gorgeous and has completely changed the look of our house. They did the main staircase going to the upper floor and going down to the basement. They matched the stain on the stairs and handrail/nosing perfectly to our hardwood floors. The new spindles and handrail are very firmly and solidly in place and the completed job is high quality and exactly what we were hoping for. As the stairs are a center point in our house, it was important that the job was very professional and high quality. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and we are very happy that we did it. Mesh and Rajan were a pleasure to deal with and guided us through what our options were and were very helpful when making choices. Thank you, Ideal Stairs, for such a beautiful upgrade to our house!
