    Earned every star

    A great fence contractor is (nearly) impossible to find.. for months I was gathering quotes and was consistently disappointed/ put off. 90% of the people doing this work we’re super high pressure salesmen, wanted me to put 50-100% of the cost down upfront, and wouldn’t even guarantee timing for their projects. I was ready to call it quits. I was referred to Green Side Up through a local Facebook group, and it was clear right away that they were different. Jay was at my house the next day to give me a quote... he asked for $0 down... and told me the work could start mid June. Fast forward, and Jay & team built me a beautiful fence ahead of schedule, and on budget. The team was friendly, professional, and efficient. I couldn’t be happier and would recommend to anyone! Bonus points that they donate $500 from larger jobs to local charities. Class act

    Fencing

    I got Jay's contact from my neighbour. I got three quotes initially for our backyard fence and Jay's quote was very reasonable. My neighbour was very pleased with his work so I decided to go with him. Since we were getting the fence done during the pandemic, the price of material shot up. Jay had only increased his quote once initially and I totally understood where he was coming from so I agreed. Although the price of material continued to increase during the following months, he still honoured his quote and got the fence done for us. His crew Daniel, Cory, Eric and Travis were very professional and got the job done quickly. There was a slight miscommunication on the style which I noticed at the very beginning. As soon as I pointed it out to the Cory and Eric, they removed them and fixed it right away. Cory's exact word to me was "As long as you are happy, this is what you want. We will fix it, don't worry!". Jay and Daniel also made a great suggestion on the fence layout. What I wanted originally would have looked terrible so I'm glad I listened to their suggestion. Thank you Jay, Daniel, Cory, Travis and Eric for your wonderful work!

    Backyard balcony, stone patio, and fence

    We are very happy with the project executed by Green Side Up! Working with Jay was a good experience as he was very responsive and accountable, as well as understanding and reasonable given the challenges of COVID. The process was transparent and had good communication at every step. His crew worked extremely hard to meet our tight timeline and as a result we have this wonderful outdoor space to utilise in time for summer. We would not hesitate to recommend this company!

    Fence

    This is one of the best companies I've had the pleasure of dealing with. I found them on homestars and checked out their website first. All the information I needed was on their site, it is very detailed. My neighbours still wanted to speak to Jay before agreeing to have him come and quote. Jay had no problem speaking with them and answering all their questions. Jay was prompt in coming over to measure our yard and provide an estimate. Once we confirmed the job, Jay scheduled us in for June. Since my wife is a big time gardener and looks forward to planting every year, Jay did us a huge favour and was able to move us up to mid May. Thanks Jay this was really appreciated. You have a fantastic work crew, they were all very nice and respectful of the property and neighbors and also taking time to answer questions about the job. Absolutely the best quality of fence and workmanship. I will certainly recommend you to anyone without hesitation.

    Jay and his team are THE REAL DEAL!

    Before finding Green Side Up Contracting, we had a contractor who was unprofessional and unable to complete the job properly. I was searching for another company to finish and fix the job. Finally, I came across an Instagram Ad for Green Side Up Contracting. They were coincidentally already completing a job up the street from my house so I could see first hand the quality that went into their work. I checked out their website and their awesome instant quote tools and I called them immediately. I got Jay on the phone and explained the situation to him. He came to take a look and couldn't believe the mess he was looking at from the other so called 'professional'. Jay could see that we were left hanging and immediately agreed to help us out and complete the job. The best part of it was that I didn't even have to say anything and he knew EXACTLY what needed to be done to fix everything and make it look great. That's exactly what he ended up doing! I was surprised at how professional he and his team were. I had a chance to meet and talk with a few of the guys on his team even before the job started. I could see they were no Mickey Mouse shop, they had the tools/machines and resources to get the job done. Jay sent me an online quote which was so professional and detailed. It itemized every single item they were performing and I was glad for this because this prevents any discrepancies/miscommunication from happening - it gave me piece of mind. It was a done deal. I have to say, Green Side Up Contracting paid attention to the small details that I never would have thought of myself. They are truly professionals at what they do. I also never had to ask or remind them about anything which made the entire experience stress free. They went above and beyond and delivered what the promised to deliver and more. They also cleaned up any mess at the end of each day and never left me with any 'garbage'. They worked extremely hard every single day and even came when it was raining in order to get the job done. To top it off, Green Side Up also donates $500 to the Aurora food pantry for ever project over 10k completed in Aurora. Truly amazing. My wife and I will absolutely be using Green Side Up Contracting for future projects. Thank you Jay, Rob, Brandon and team,
