Windows + Window cutout for patio door
Had my windows installed in July 2018, but wanted to see how the windows performed in the extreme summer heat and freezing cold winter.
I can say without a doubt that these windows are incredible!
The house was cooler in summer. The slightly (green) tinted glass kept out the sun's uv rays and also made it a little more difficult for people from seeing directly into the house.
Triple panes cut out almost all of the outside noise and there's a lot as we live behind a small park.
The house is warmer in winter and even with the extreme cold we've had, not a single drop of condensation has appeared on the windows or sills. That in itself, at least to me, is amazing. With our old windows, a thick layer of ice would have formed where the glass meets the frame.
The window cutout for the patio door looks amazing. The mason did an incredible job of replacing missing bricks and putting in a stone threshold.
Overall, Kyle the sales rep was knowledgable and friendly. He answered questions whether by phone or text promptly. The installers, led by Artur, were skilled, methodical and fast. They kept the house clean with drop clothes and constant sweeping. The ladies in the office were extremely helpful as they filled out the paperwork for the GreenOn Rebate. All I had to do was send them before photos of the windows.
When it comes time to replace my basement windows, I'll be contacting Optima Home Improvements.
