    Furnace would not start

    Saturday morning we called Appleby Systems as our furnace would not start. A few hours later Dave arrived and within 20 mins had our furnace up and running. The service was great! I would highly recommend Appleby and I hope you are lucky and get Dave as your technician. Regards, John

    Furnace repair

    I want to thank the technician (Andrew) for coming over (Friday October 11th) so promptly and he fixed my furnace. Furnace wasn't working this morning, and I had family coming over for Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday and thank goodness for Andrew that he was able to fix it before the dinner. He went above and beyond to fix my furnace problem. He was very kind and friendly. Thank you to reception for booking my appointment so quickly when I called this morning. The woman on the phone was also very kind and understood my issue. Thank you, thank you! Much appreciated!

    Regency GI29 Gas insert Installation

    Replaced our 25 year old gas insert with the new Regency GI29 model.Looks fantastic and made a huge improvement to our family room. Adam and his assistant were very punctual and were polite ,easy to deal with and careful and cleaned up as they left. I would recommend Appleby .Thank You !

    Satisfied customer

    Our fire place needed cleaning, also one of the log was dispositioned. Found them online, very happy with the service received. Trevor was punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. He explained what he did and answered all the the questions we had with great suggestions. Will definitely use their service again for future needs!

    Purchase of Fireplace

    I purchased a fireplace advising them that a licensed installer friend of mine would install it. At the time of purchase I did not know what length of venting kit I would need. The President of Appleby, who I dealt with told me to get a 2 foot through the wall vent kit and advised me that if it was to short he would exchange it and I would pay a bit more. The installer came to view the fireplace and advised I would need a 4 foot vent kit. When I contacted Appleby the president said he would order the pipe. After a couple of days I contacted the president at which time he advised me that he would not take the two foot pipe back as it was too much hassle for him to do so. I am now the proud owner of a 2 foot Regency vent kit which cost Approx $400. I contacted Regency the fireplace manufacturer in Vancouver BC who said they do no get involved as this is an issue between me and the dealer. I tried to sell it but no was interested.

    Hi Peter, I am concerned to see this disappointing review. You purchased a fireplace from us over the counter, we were not the ones installing your cash & carry fireplace. Your email to us, clearly states you wanted a 2' vent kit, along with a detailed list of the fireplace and all it's accessories you wanted. We simply ordered what you requested. We would not know what size you required because we were not at your home for a site visit. We wouldn't have use for a 2 foot vent kit and there would be additional restocking fees as well as a courier charge to return the venting. Perhaps the licensed installer friend, should have told you the size you required.

    Long overdue improvement!

    After 20+ years of service we decided it was time to update the look and features of our aging Instaflame fireplace gas insert. We looked on line and contacted several contractors. We wanted to see working models before making a choice. We ruled out those with no showroom models to view and those that had too many on display to choose from. After a recommendation from a friend, we contacted Appleby Systems. They have several working models on display and we chose the new Regency Gi29 for its realistic log set, clear vision glass, lighted coals effect and multilevel settings for flame and fan. Plus, Regency was offering incentives during November. Appleby Systems were great to deal with from start to finish. The installers were professional, polite and attentive to making sure everything was done right. We could not be more pleased with our experience working with the President and staff. Like everything else these days, we just hope the modern electronics and gadgetry of our new Regency fireplace insert serves us as well as our now retired one.

    EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE

    We purchased a new home this summer and didn’t know the heat exchanger was gone. We were about to replace the furnace with another company because the labour was so expensive and the part was not available in Ontario. Not a happy moment! I finally found the sticker with Appleby Systems and contacted them. Ryan took the lead and managed to locate a part in Ontario and got us taken care of under the original warranty as the unit was only 6 years old. His actions had an impact and I will definitely continue to recommend him! Exceptional customer service!

    Very impressed with Appleby Systems!

    Appleby Systems installed our new air conditioner two years ago and we were happy with the experience, so called them again to have the furnace and two gas fireplaces checked and routine maintenance performed prior to the Winter setting in. I found the entire experience smooth, reliable and professional from start to finish. Booking was easy, the technician was on time and did a great job, answered all my questions and gave some good advice. Most impressed with the fact that when Andrew was on his way we received an email letting us know, along with a photo of him, and his name - very professional and great idea! I wouldn't call anyone else now for this type of work.

    Fireplace Service

    I received excellent service when I called to inquire about scheduling an appointment and price. The ladies were very pleasant and informative. The service person arrived on time and was friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to service our fireplace quickly and it is working like a charm. I would definitely use them again and recommend their service.

    New Hot Water Tank

    Our first experience with Appleby was six years ago when we had a new furnace installed. From the onsite visit and sales quote interactions right through to installation, it was all courteous, responsive, and professional. Two years ago, we had the company install our new central air conditioner and again could not have been more pleased with what we experienced. So, when it came time to replace our ageing hot water tank, I did not think twice about who I was going to call—Appleby Systems. I made the call to the company to inquire about getting a quote. Sales lead Ryan came on site to our place and took the time to explore our options. After that, he worked with me over phone and email to answer my questions and provide the product and pricing information I needed to make a final decision. There was no pressure at all, and once my decision was made, he promptly scheduled the install. The installation team, Trevor and Ryan (different from “sales Ryan” referenced above), arrived on time and fully lived up to our expectations. They explained what they were going to do and worked diligently to install our new tank. They helped me out a lot by agreeing to take and hang-on to the old tank until I can confirm closing the rental agreement out with the old tank’s provider. The team nicely cleaned up the installation area and Trevor gave me a final walkthrough of things before leaving. They left me with a great comfort that I could call them and that they would be very responsive in the unlikely event of any issues stemming from the install. Thank you Appleby Systems!
