Professional to deal with from the first contact to the follow up after installation. We had 3 neighbours getting sod done. They broke down the quote and provided accurate measurements. Very reasonably priced. The crew left the site clean and took away the debris. The foreman too was very helpful and answered all the questions. After the job they sent the instruction for maintenance which is very helpful. They replied to my follow up questions too. This took sometime but I am very satisfied. I would not hesitate recommending them to friends and family.

Summer 2020 was brutal on our lawn! Being a 20 yr. property and having re-sod our lawn once before, this summer really took its toll on our lawn. The drought basically killed our lawn - no matter how much I tried to water, I just could not recover our lawn from dire straits. I use HomeStars for my home improvement/repair needs and I searched for landscaping companies in Markham. I received responses from several companies, however Sean @ Lemon Tree Landscapes was the quickest to respond both for the initial contact and with a full on quote. Sean communicated very promptly whenever I had a question and ultimately they had the best pricing as well. Their quote was a full featured offer, listing all steps & services included with their quote and all warranties. They even included several tips for prep. On the scheduled day, Nick & his crew arrived earlier than scheduled and quickly went over the procedures with me regarding the work to be done. Nick also confirmed boundaries and provided some options regarding finishes around our two trees. Once that was settled, they quickly went to work. The crew was swift and thorough, tilling the existing remaining lawn into the soil and adding several inches of brand new soil. Once the soil was rolled, they immediately started rolling out the new sod. Nick's crew kept everything tidy and there was very little residue left. Once they completed the project, Nick explained briefly what I had to do for the next 4 weeks. Both the front and back (approx. 900 SF) were completed in less than 2 hours! Keep in mind that this was all performed during August in 35 deg. C, with no cloud in site during the hottest time of the day!!! Sean followed up with a comprehensive instruction sheet, explaining watering techniques and proper lawn care. The lawn after 3 weeks looks SPECTACULAR!!! 99% of the seams have disappeared and the grass overall is so healthy and robust! We were a little worried about the timing, but with Sean's help we were able to maintain the new sod with amazing results! I've included before and after pictures (I decided to wait the three weeks and cut the lawn before I submitted my review). This is by far the best lawn we've ever had - I can't tell you how many compliments we've received so far! I tell everyone who we used and highly recommend Lemon Tree Landscapes for their services. Quick response to inquiry and quote within 24hrs. Sean and the crew removed the old grass, used the rototiller to mix up the existing soil, added new top soil and replaced the grass in about 4hrs. Cleaned up the site and followed up with detailed instructions on care for the new grass. Overall very pleased with the communication and the job. Fantastic service. The crew show they actually care about what they are doing. The team leader was very polite and explained the ins and outs. Besides the weeds, I had concerns about the water retention in the back corner of my backyard. They tore up the existing lawn space and applied the right amount of fresh earth. I contacted Lemon tree for a quote for multiple properties, they came and took measurements and answered all questions and based on the reviews here and on google, I thought i was in good hands. Come installation day, they came and started there work on my property plus my 2 neighbors. As they started the work my father in law was watching to ensure that things would be done to his satisfaction, while they were removing the old sod and tilling the yard, they missed many spots which my father in would remind them of that, he was also out there helping as they were missing corners and old sod that were against patio stones. After that, they put on there "premium" top soil, very minimal, without really grading the area as after install, i still have the same bumps and dips in my yard. After install, we noticed multiple gaps in areas which we notified them of, to this date they have yet to resolve it. Less than a week later i noticed weeds seeping through the gaps and grass it self, which they will blame another one of my neighbors, but in less than a week? i dont think so. The original sod removal and there so called weed removal was abysmal. My other neighbors front yard that they did is absolutely atrocious to look at, to a point where we may have to rip it out and dump more money into it. I asked the owner to come fix that, they said yes and never showed up. My own backyard has a huge patch of weeds, they wont fix it, i know because they will blame everything and anything else but there work. Its unfortunate that it went like this, now I am going to spending many hours and money fixing the weed issue. If you want something done at a reasonable price, go ahead with these guys, but if you want quality work with stand up people, look elsewhere. I saw a review stating they came and sprayed weed killer, i don't think i'll be getting such luck. If i can do this all over again, I would certainly do more research and really look into things, instead i went with this company and also had my neighbors go with them, which i feel really bad about.

Lemon Tree did a wonderful job. Thank you for doing such a great clean up, post project. I bought a quality timer based on instruction. The lawn is getting a lot of water with less work. The project was completed this past June.. Still looks green even in the summer heat. - Alan

We got our sod replaced on 26th June 2020. I was very much disappointed to see that after only 15 days, weeds started popping up. I called him on 23rd July and he promised to send someone for weed spray. Nobody showed up till now. It’s also difficult to contact him on phone. Now we are pulling the weeds every day but I don’t think these will go. The main reason to change sod was to get rid of these weeds which are now again there. I have a big lawn (2700 sq ft) and I think the job was not done properly.

My review is for sod installation completed in May 2020. The work was completed in a timely fashion. The crew was kind and fair. The lawn looks great. Note, the first few lawn mowings I really needed to cut twice as it is very thick and the blades miss some. Yes, I would recommend.
