I calmly pen this review of Eclipse during one of the crazy downpours we've been getting recently (late August, 2021). "Calmly?" you ask yourself? Let me explain: we have a flatroof, roughly 630 sq.ft. in area over an extension, which itself is just a few years old. The roofers used by the contractor completely botched the job: cheap inferior product (IKKO) which wasn't properly secured down, hack-job on 5 scuppers which were left completely open, with bare wood and cavities that led to who-knows-where. Ok, enough of the report on the previous job. I found Eclipse completely by fluke, after passing by one of their trucks as I was going to pick up some pizza. I looked them up, saw their reviews and knew I had to contact them the next day. They were able to send a Project Manager within a day of first contact. Unlike many of the other reviewers who wrote about being visited by the company owner named Eduart, we had our consultation with Geni. A gentleman of few words, Geni was professional, thorough, and withheld on the bravado and showmanship some of the other contractors displayed. I found this understated approach to be quite refreshing. He clearly answered and addressed our questions and concerns. Subsequent phonecalls were returned promptly. We took a couple of weeks to make up our mind, and within two weeks of securing Eclipse, a team of 8 showed up, on time, ripped off the existing flat roof within 50 minutes and finished most of the job (including doing an incredible job replacing the 5 scuppers) by day's end. Only an hour and a bit was needed to complete the job the following morning. A few other points: - Dealing with Reigh (scheduling) and Gleda (billing) was a breeze. - Provisions were made beforehand with Geni to protect our driveway as it's made of Ecoraster (a type of recycled plastic) which involved parking their trucks and equipment on the road at the end of the driveway. Don't get me wrong - the crew did try, asking if they could park on the driveway, but I reminded them I spoke to Geni about it and they said "no problem". What I want to highlight is that while they tried (I don't blame them), they didn't put up any stink when I said no. - They brought all sorts of wood boards to protect the side of the house and paver stones as they dismantled the old roof. The property was left as clean as when they arrived. - We have cedar siding which they did an amazing job of, well, not burning down! Thank you Team Eclipse for not burning down the house! Joking aside, Eduart did come on a site visit with Geni and he brought to rest any of our concerns about fires, and they obviously followed through with this. - On a related note to the previous point, after an hour's worth of work to finish the roof on the second day, the crew stayed an extra 30-45 minutes upon completion to ensure any hot spots didn't turn ignite the cedar. - A considerable amount of time was put into waterproofing the scuppers, which now look amazing and perform as they should. - On Geni's final inspection a few days later, I pointed out to him a section of downspout that was a bit banged up, with some denting and paint chipping. Without a blink of an eye, Geni ensured me it would be replaced. A team member came by last week to do the replacement. Final Verdict: Eclipse is not necessarily the cheapest (nor the priciest), but we could not be happier with the end result. Before Eclipse came around, this rainstorm in which I'm typing this would give us a reason to hold our breath and inspect the corners that had leaks coming through. But as I heard the first thunder strikes from the distance this afternoon, I looked to the skies and challenged Thor to give us all that he had, knowing that this roof was battle-prepped and ready to Eclipse anything it'd be shown! I include a few "before" photos, and of course, of the finished product. Thanks to Geni and the Eclipse team! Recommended without hesitation.

Late last fall we had my roof replaced by Eclipse Roofing. Both our flat roof and main roof were replaced. We also had my unused chimney removed and sealed, as well as the gutters and downspouts replaced. From the onset all facets of the project with Eclipse exceeded my expectations, beginning with my initial phone call with Reigh, who answered all my questions and concerns, to setting up a consultation with Eduart the owner who promptly made an appointment to meet with us, an estimate was produced, and the work was done. The project was overseen by Eduart himself. The whole team were always very courteous and professional. During and after installation, all minor issues were addressed and adjusted in a timely manner. It has been almost a year and there have been no roofing issues. We would highly recommend Eclipse Roofing for any roofing job.

We called Eclipse Roofing back after they did an expert job of capping off a wood fireplace chimney when we converted it to gas. Our house roof and shed needed replacing as well as the eavestroughs. Eduart provided sound suggestions and reasonable options after hearing what we were looking for. Everything about the work was professional, expertly executed, fast and clean. (They stripped off the old roof in 3 hrs!) His crew was very polite and cleaned up thoroughly after the job was completed. I have no hesitation recommending Eclipse Roofing for any size job. We had both small and large jobs done, and are very satisfied with the results. This company has a commitment to quality work and after work service that is rarely seen these days.

From the first moment this is the most professional company in the trades I have ever dealt with. Our project was a replacement of our entire flat roof, adding insulation, and adding an eco-roof (cooling roof) as well as new flashing and gutters. They are so organized, with the highest quality work - friendly, efficient and respectful of the neighbours and street (we live in a townhouse so this project had the possibility of being impactful to them too, however disruption was totally minimized). From quote, to planning to the implementation the entire team was amazing. I can't recommend them enough.

We had overflows on our eavestroughs, and had someone from Eclipse come by to take a look. He quickly found and removed clogs in our downspouts. Fifteen minutes and everything was done! Highly recommended! We will definitely use their services again.

Eclipse roofers Altin and his brother were re-doing my neighbour's whole eavestrough, and I took the opportunity to ask them to do a small job at my house. They were happy to help, even though it was not a huge job. They came back the day after they were done with my neighbour, and re-routed my old and falling-apart eaves. The job was done in a couple of hours and it looks tight and neat. I am very happy with the work done and would feel very comfortable referring these guys to anyone needing their expertise. This was a late winter fibre-cement siding installation, and aluminum replacement for our entire home (detached). We were quoted 50k (all-in), but ran into some remedial costs with rotten boards and insulbrick removal. One of our pipes also froze during the job, but Eduart covered the emergency plumber costs. Honestly, I attribute all of these issues to working on a 100-year-old home. Note that we were quoted on this job before the recent spike in material prices (timber incl.). We're happy with how the project went: - We received quotes from 5 contractors. Eclipse provided the most transparent quote and we're good at responding to my questions. Transparency and accountability mattered more than costs to us. - Our house borders two triplexes and another home (i.e., 6 different set of neighbours) and there are some narrow spaces between our walls and our neighbour's garages, cars and trees. The team did a good job communicating what was happening every day, or what they needed, so I could inform the neighbours. They respected the neighbour's property and space, and left the site clean at the end of the day. - It's been a month since the job was completed and we continue to be happy. Reli was our site supervisor, and he strikes me as someone who takes a lot of pride in his work. I didn't have to micro-manage much. The team is professional, works hard and just gets stuff done.

Eclipse was one of three companies who quoted on the project. Their quote was competitive. They started the project on time and they completed the project on time. The crew working on the roof were excellent. They were very professional and hard working. At the end of every day they cleaned the site perfectly. The crew respected the neighbors and the neighbors property. The final product looks excellent. The owner was available at all times before and during and after the project.

The team showed up on time every morning, were extremely polite and accommodating. They offered alternative solutions to problems encountered. They kept me informed of progress and left the work site clean and free of debris every days
