    Home Inspection

    I conducted a home inspection this summer with Haystack. Chris Thompson's style of reporting and advice was key in negotiating a reduced price with the seller. His report and advice will be the guide for the ongoing repairs and maintenance at our new home. The greatest value of Haystack is the post-inspection services. Chris made himself available to address our questions. I would strongly recommend Haystack when buying a home.

    Hone Inspection

    Chris was recommended to me by someone with good reviews who had stopped doing home inspections. I saw Chris's online reviews and I was encouraged that he would be the right person for the job. Chris answered my call promptly and he showed tremendous flexibility to schedule a home inspection with short notice. Chris was thorough and professional on the day of the inspection and he let us know everything we needed to be aware of before deciding whether or not to purchase our home. His final report was well illustrated and detailed, yet still easy to understand. I would recommend Chris to anyone else who is in need of a home inspection.

    Home Inspection

    We approached Chris to come and conduct a home inspection on a house we were contemplating buying in North Vancouver - he came highly recommended to us from our realtor. We were so happy with the very thorough report Chris provided us with - he took the time to closely inspect all areas of the home, inside and out, leaving no stone unturned. We joined Chris for the last half hour of the inspection when he summarized his main findings and showed us in person, areas of the home that were of concern (in particular a major issue with a retaining wall on the boundary of the property). We found Chris to be highly knowledgable, professional and approachable. He provided a complete report by 9am the following morning and followed up with us after we'd had a chance to look over the report to answer any questions. Due to some of the issues highlighted in Chris' report, we decided not to go ahead with the purchase of this particular property. We plan to use him again when we find the next possible home to buy and have already recommended him to friends of ours who are currently looking to buy their first home.

    Home inspection

    Chris was a referral from a guy who is no longer in the business of home inspection. I immediately set an appointment with him for condo inspection. On the day of inspection he gave us an overview on what to expect before, during and after the inspection. He is straight to the point,approachable and has keen in details. The report was very detailed and easy to understand. His company is highly recommended. Raffy

    Detailed, thorough, and followed up

    My realtor recommended Chris at Haystack when I was doing my due diligence before buying a house in North Vancouver. I was very pleased with Chris’s inspection, report, and follow up. I had time to attend the inspection and he walked me through what he saw as he went, and was happy to discuss when I wanted more detail. His report covered all the bases, and he followed up with me the next day after making some follow up calls about aluminum wiring. Would recommend.

    Home Inspection

    Chris is knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. His final report was thorough and detailed, while easy to understand and accessible. We appreciated his walk thru after the inspection prior to getting the report as well. We also appreciated how he reached out to us after we got the report if we had further questions, especially since there is so many going on while purchasing a home. We were impressed with his attention to detail from the beginning to the end. Would definitely recommend.

    Professional and Efficient

    Buying an older home can be scary and full of surprises. Thanks to Chris and his thorough and efficient inspection were were put to ease with our purchase. Chris was friendly and very open to discussing his findings during his process. We were impressed with his attention to detail and the focus on safety. The best part of Chris's inspection was his very detailed and colour coded report which will certainly turn into the honey do list once we finally move it. We would 100% recommend Chris for your home inspection as it was a very positive experience.

    West Vancouver home inspection

    I read great review online about Chris's home inspection service and decided to give him a try for our new home inspection in West Vancouver. It turned out to be a good decision. Chris approved himself to be a true professional home inspector, who really loves what he does. He showed up early and by the time we arrived on our appointment time, Chris had already done half hour of inspection outside of the house in the rain. His job is very thorough and provides us with a very detailed inspection report next day, with more details than we could've expected. We are very happy with Chris's quality service and will for sure choose him again when next time we are in need! Thanks Collihn

    House Inspection

    Chris is an excellent, professional, knowledgeable, and reputable house inspector. We were lucky and happy to hire him to inspector the house. His house inspection report is comprehensive and detailed, so it may also serve as reference for future home maintenance and improvement. He verbally (and in writing) highlighted the most important points, and gave us perspective, which helped us assess the large amount of information (in the final report) and make an informed decision about the house purchase. Chris provided great customer service, and took his time to answer our questions. He accommodated our tight schedule, and produced his report quickly after inspection. Chris's friendly, and took part of the stress out of our move. We highly recommend him to anyone for home inspection.

    Home Inspection

    Chris is very knowledgeable at the work he is doing. He has made helpful recommendation. His report is very thorough which will serve as a guideline for us to maintain the new place. I am grateful to find such an expert to help me at home inspection!
