Remove or trim tree: Removal of tree(s); 1 tree
Kodiak showed up when scheduled, did everything that was promised and cleaned up all the mess. We couldn’t have been happier with the job they did and we will be calling them for any further work we may have.

    Tree and stump removal

Kodiak removed a dead crab apple tree from my front yard and also removed the stump. Quick, professional, and very helpful and I highly recommend them for any tree work. Kodiak did a major removal/trim of locust tree limbs that were shading my yard, as well as my neighbor's. We were both more than satisfied.

    Tree trimming

I would absolutely not recommend this company. There is absolutely no follow up on the job. They don’t do what they say they are going to. They don’t get back to you. They are extremely unprofessional and disorganized. The owner Kyle is terribly rude and disrespectful. I have never dealt with a company that has caused such stress and disappointment. Stay clear and move on.

Dead birch tree removal along property line gone bad

Since the below incident the owner of Kodiak contacted me and all has been resolved. Thank you for taking the time to reach out. Bjorn I had a dead birch that needed removal along a property line. I had Kodiak come quote the job and I agreed to it. When the guys came to cut it down the tree ended being so rotten that it basically came down on its own once the chainsaw cut into it. Most of the tree had come down on the neighbour's property. When my wife asked about it the guys said they won't go on a neighbour's property to clean up so the neighbour ended up having to clean it up as he wanted it done right away and neither my wife nor I had time to help as it was during a working day of the week. My wife and I felt terrible as not only was there a mess on the neighbours property, but his fence was also damaged. I understand things can happen especially with a rotten tree, but to not take some responsibility to clean up what was on the neighbour's property is very surprising. I would have at least made an effort to contact the neighbour to see if it's okay to go on the property to move the debris to my property. Then when I contacted Kodiak about adjusting the invoice based on less than 30 minutes of being onsite they referred me to their terms and conditions of sale and deposit terms. I understand terms very well, but what I can't understand is charging full price for the actual work done. $500 plus HST for less than 30 minutes of work and a pile of debris left on the neighbour's yard along with a damaged fence. Let's get real here folks. We're not robots. No attempt of any human element was made on this project. Just strictly business.

    Tree removal

Rod, Operations Manager for Kodiak gave me a well priced quote. I did get others quotes, but choose Kodiak because of their customer reviews on verious sites including HomeStars. From the quote, it was a quick process to actually remove three large Red Pine trees. I was impressed with the crew of 3 that did the removal. They worked safely, efficiently and very respectfully of each other, as well as of our property (the pines were in a front yard garden setting). The clean-up was immaculate. I highly recommend Kodiak Tree Services.

    Removal of two trees

I had a Blue Spruce growing in the rear yard, it was right up against the house and was about 25 feet high. Also had a Norway Maple in the rear yard which was also 25 feet high. Kodiak was the third company I asked for a quote. They gave me a quote that was the same as a company that did not have insurance, and was a bit less than the other company that appraised the job. I saw the good reviews that Kodiak had received so I hired them. They came the next day. Took out the trees with just a two man crew. Most of the debris went into a massive chipper and the best of the maple I kept for firewood. And the firewood was mostly cut straight for easy spitting, a real bonus. Good cleanup on their part. If I was an extreme nit picker I would say there was a wee bit of small pieces of bark and a few seed cones from the Spruce on the ground, really amazing actually when you see the mess before and after. Crew was efficient and professional I would use them again.

    Tree Removal

I bought a new house and with it came a birch tree that was looking rather unhealthy. I had Kodiak come in and remove it, as well as clean up a sister birch tree nearby. very satisfied with the work and price. From booking the appointment to having the work done, it was a quick process, and the yard was cleaned up quite nice. Rod was great!

Good job or removing big old trees

I contacted several area tree removal companies and decided to go with Kodiak. They came out and gave an estimate in a timely manner and provided a time/date also. They were able to come in several days sooner to get the job done (which we were happy with). The job was done quickly and efficiently as others have noted. Overall it was a good experience, but not great. The person on site allowed a 'passer by' to collect the logs (the owner/ceo was not a part of this choice) & that person damaged part of our property. The damage was never repaired and the excuse was that the worker thought we 'knew the person?'. The trees are gone & stumped, but a bit of a sour taste left behind. I would recommend this group (nice hard working guys), but I would definitely stick around and monitor choices being made around clean up/removal.
