    Home reno

    We had an older home that needed new drywall on both floors. There was some existing plaster on some walls and the upper ceiling; Mike did a wonderful job of tying the new drywall into the old plaster. When he finished the job, he invited us to call him regarding any deficiencies. As with every job in construction, there were some deficiencies; however, Mike was very quick to fix them. The job was finished on time and on budget, and was completed far more reasonably than other quotes that we were given. I will certainly call Mike for our next job.

    Small Office space in the basement

    Mike just finished a small recreational area in our basement. Although it was not a big job at all, Mike still treated us as though we had hired him for a huge job. I felt he really valued our business. So when it comes time to complete the remaining area in our basement Mike at Plaster & Drywall Solutions will be our first call! Mike did a great job completing the mudding and taping of the small office space, he also had very good communication skills (which I do find lacks a lot when using trades people) and on top of all that he was also reasonably priced! Mike was great at informing me what day he will be back and kept in touch with arrival times. If he was going to be late or needed to change the date, he always informed me! My time is valuable to me and not once did I have to sit around the house waiting for him to show up at a scheduled time. Mike also made sure we were happy with the job prior to paying, and that is how you know you have hired a person with integrity. He is not only very hard working but also cares about the job he does and takes pride in his work. Those characteristics seem harder and harder to find these days. Thanks so much Mike!

    Drywall repair

    Squirrels managed to make a pretty big hole (aboit 8 in x 2in in our vaulted popcorn ceiling. At first we thought we had to replace the whole ceiling panel and urged Mike to quote us the replacement cost. Mike was very honest and told us he could repair it for $250 thus saving us a lot of money. This is such a small job that other drywall contractors probably would even bother but Mike scheduled us in and completed the work as promised.

    Basement Drywall, Mudding and Taping

    Mike did our basement - L-shaped recreation area and one bedroom. The job was done on time, well communicated throughout the process with no hidden costs. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

    Framing, drywall, painting, doors

    I hired Mike for some basement development: some framing, drywall, doors and painting. Mike gave me a reliable estimate. He started the work on time, and steadily proceeded to completion. He supplied the doors; one (outside) door is topnotch with good insulation. Mike sub-traded the painting; it's good. All in all, the finished work looks good. I found Mike easy to get along with, and he kept me informed. You can hire Mike with confidence for receiving good work.

    Garneau Theatre Renovation

    We called in Mike to do some repairs to our 1940s theater as well as create a bulkhead for our new concession. He was very professional and the job turned out fantastic. We get a lot of compliments on the renovation, and I would not hesitate to recommend Mike to anyone needing plaster or drywall work. Update: We had Mike in again this summer to do some more repairs to our old plaster walls. And again he did a fantastic job at a very fair price.

    Furnace room in my basement.

    My colleague referred Mr. Mike (Plaster & Drywall Solutions) to us as we needed to close our furnace room in the basement. We also demanded the best contractor who could take on this project and deliver as it is our first new home ever built! So, Mike did it and i can honestly say he is a true pro. This work consists of framing wall, installation of CGC, taping & mudding, installation of a door and installation of hardware etc. I found Mike to be a very experienced professional, meticulous, honest and yet, he completed this assignment on time. I strongly believe he is one of the best home renovation contractors in town. For this reason, i recommend him without reservation. Thanks Mike for your quality work, you have exceeded our expectations and my family & I are very happy for the job well done! I look forward to working with you again on my next project in the near future as i intend to finish my basement! Keep up the good work Mike!

    Basement renovations

    We needed our basement finished and we felt that Mike was the only one who understood what we were looking for. He was open to our suggestions and was always available to answer any and all questions we had. He was always on time and worked in a professional manner. The only hiccup we encountered was that the project took longer than expected, which we were okay with because he was working on two projects at the same time. Once he finished the work, our basement was transformed into a living space that my entire family loves.

    Removal of popcorn ceilings, window and baseboard trim replacement, drywall patching

    Mike is everything you would want in a contractor. Patient, knowledgeable, friendly and will go the extra mile to ensure his customers are completely satisfied and happy, by projects end – and at an honest price. As a bonus, he has contacts that are of equal quality to wrap-up any loose ends or new projects you may have. Overall, my wife and I couldn’t be any happier with Mike and we will contact him to work on any future projects. Thanks for all the hard work, Mike. It has made a huge difference.

    Basement Completion

    We contracted Mike in the fall of 2015 to install drywall in the basement, including the ceilings. Mike was great to deal with, prompt in his replies and always on time. His work ethic and professionalism was great to deal with and we were happy with his work. Just this weekend I contacted Mike again as we needed a drywall repair and he came through and completed the job as fast as the mud would dry. We are so thankful that Mike fit us in at such short notice! And he did a great job, was just as professional and courteous as when he did the work before and always arrived when he said he would. Thank you Mike for the work in 2015 and thank you for this weekend and really going above and beyond to help us out in a bind! You truly are one of a kind and will certainly recommend you to others!
