As a single female homeowner, I have had to deal with many contractors over the years. It is something that can be quite difficult, and that I dread. In this instance, I was very anxious about the work as my fencing project was quite complicated with extensive landscaping on both sides of the fence and 4 adjacent neighbours. Eddie was very patient with explanations about how the work would be done to protect existing landscape structures. He submitted separate bills for 4 neighbours and took care of collecting deposits and the final payment. This was a huge bonus for me as I did not have to worry about hounding neighbours for payment. To be completely honest, there were some issues with his job foreman, and the finished product that I was unhappy about. I dreaded having a conversation with Eddy about how to resolve them. I cannot emphasize enough how easy Eddie made that conversation, and how quickly he resolve the issues to my satisfaction. I believe him to be honest, fair and to genuinely want to please his customers. In my opinion, he does quality work for a reasonable price, and when difficulty arises, he is very easy to work with to resolve it. I feel that he truly values his customers, is very respectful in his communication, and with their property. I would have him back, and recommend him to friends or family instantly. Eddy Mills was amazing to work with. He took everything we said to heart and gave us our dream house! He took care of everything! From the ceilings being scraped, new electrical and lighting, flooring, paint, completely new kitchen, walls removed to make it open concept and more done! If he needed to subcontract work to specialists (ex- electrical) he had great referrals and recomendations for other excellent professionals. Everything was done in a timely manner on a very modest budget, and the end result looks amazing! I would highly recommend Eddy Mills with Firepit Fundamentalsto anyone looking to do a renovation, deck or fence! He was a true pleasure to work with and we will definitely be using his services again for future renovations!Answer from pro:

We asked Eddy to re-do our two-story deck. He was quick, on schedule, and any and all concerns were addressed in a very timely fashion. Price was very fair, and Eddy was always responsive. I hired Eddy Mills (firepit fundamentals) on behalf of myself and 4 neighbours to build fences between our yards, close off the front access, and provide a gate for front access as well as access to the park area behind our houses. We were not the most organized group yet Eddy and his team managed to do a great job with the fence install. I am very happy with the final product. There were two issues that came up during my project, firstly, I sent Eddy an email outlining where I wanted my gate to the park, but forgot to attach the drawing with the location. Rather than following up to get the location, Eddy's team started installation of the gate where they thought would be good, but not where I wanted the gate. After calling Eddy to clarify things, he was respectful and moved the gate to where I wanted with no extra charge to me. This meant he ate the cost of one fence post and the concrete used to set it. Eddy also double charged my visa by accident and issued a refund as soon as I brought it up. Eddy's handling of these two issues tells me that he is a good honest contractor that cares about doing the project right and I would not hesitate to recommend him.Answer from pro:

Eddy did an amazing job on the demo of my old deck and building a new deck for me in Sherwood Park. It is a very high deck (10' above grade). The deck floor is grey composite to match the trim of the house with 4" white posts with 1-1/2" inch pickets with a long set of stairs to a cement pad. It is complete with a rain escape system as well as the underside being completed with white soffting as well as the 6X6 posts being cladded in white. There is no visible wood any place. The long set of stairs are closed complete with white composite riser boards. The end product is awesome.Answer from pro:
