Edit.. Response to company: 1. While your company does not provide a warranty for horizontal services, there is a duty of care/industry standards that must be followed. You assumed that paint would hold on my stained surface without proper testing. Again not a Warranty Issue - A FAILURE ISSUE. 2. Your company was SURE about the JOB AND THAT IS WHY WE PROCEEDED - WHY WOULD WE HAVE SPENT 3K WITHOUT AN UNDERSTANDING THAT IT WOULD WORK AND WHO WOULD? YOU ARE PROFESSIONAL PAINTERS/CONSULTANTS AND YOU FAILED - ANY ATTEMPT TO REPAINT AND EXPECT A DIFFERENT RESULT IS ABSURD. 3..Your consultant visited us three times to discuss and test for color options... SO WHAT? Isn't that his job? Sorry to have inconvenienced him 4. There were no budgetary constraints as you claim... Your company never offered an effective alternative procedure - which is what we ended up paying MORE for. You seem to have an excuse for everything and avoid taking any responsiblity for a poor result. This only validates my original comments. For a company that loves and encourages 10 star WOW reviews, clearly Customer Satisfaction was not a priority for this project. One only has to see the photo to understand that your work is completely unacceptable. In the end, I THE CUSTOMER, spent 3K and got NOTHING for it except the aggrevation of dealing with your excuses, especially that I WILLINGLY pushed the job after being told "repeatedly" that it wouldn't work. Even If that WERE true, shouldn't YOU have morally and ethically refused the job? or Did you priortize MONEY before Customer Satisfaction? I don't judge people on errors and mistakes as they can and do happen. I do Judge on how those errors and mistakes are handled. Asking for a 1/2 Credit probably means you don't make a profit on this job...but really should you have? After your Homestar response, if I could change my review, I would to MINUS 10...WOW!
Company was contracted to paint over a stained walkway and porch. From the onset, they did not provide a warranty however they accepted the job. After only about a month, the paint badly peeled as seen from the photo. They offered to re-paint for for a small fee which we declined. They also offered a $300 credit (10%), which we also declined. In the end, we hired another company and spent more to have the work properly done with a substract and warrantied for 7 years. I have no problem spending more for a job, but I am not a professional and rely on an experts opinion. As they market themselves as Professional and Consultants, i feel they have should have taken more responbility for the outcome...you decide. I only spoke to the owner after threating a 1 Star Review...i exptected a constructive conversation and an opportunity for the company to make some sort of amends...however, his tone was confrontational and thought the "fair" thing to do was not to post this review...He sincerely believed he was the VICTIM in all of this...LOL...Oh and BTW, extortion implies an illegal act to obtain something....leaving an honest review of my experience is NOT extortion...LOL. I prefer to do business with companies that are proud and stand by their work...this could not be said of Wow1Day Painting and for that, I would never use them again even for the simplest of jobs.
