This was an emergency call and they attend asap. Due to the other tree issues in the neighbourhood they said they would be back in a few days later to clean up. They were true to their word and returned promptly. We also had some other branches removed to avoid problems in the future. They were very professional and easy to deal with. They are extremely competent and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them.

I'll start by saying that getting anyone to come out when you can also be home is not easy. Darryl responded fast and we were able to arrange a time for when I could be home to meet him. I had 3 Arborists out and 1 declined the work , 1 didn't get back to me , and 1 had a much higher estimate due to not wanting to touch it without a crane. So price wise I don't really have a comparison for this exact same work that was done. I feel that UpanOaks price was more then fair for the work performed. Old Manitoba Maple that started falling apart dangerously fast , so it needed to be removed before it decided to do it alone. Scheduling is very important to me , and Darryl was able to come on a day I had requested. Arrived promptly on time ready to work. Darryl is friendly , polite , and happy to share his knowledge with you. Explained what was needed to be done , and even gave advice on other trees I have. They were a pleasure to be around with , and handled interruptions with patience and tact. On to the actual work: Tree was situated near neighbors garage and close to fence , and required care as to how it needed to be taken down. Darryl was able to save a small tree growing right off the big one. For this I am grateful for , I loved the big one and getting to keep the small one lessens the sadness of losing the huge tree. The attention to detail required to not harm the little guy is beyond words. Clean up was great , they wanted to do more but I did not require it. I am very happy that Darryl wanted to work with my tree , and I'm extremely pleased with their work. Will definitely call him back when my other Manitoba Maple needs help. Had a great experience with Darryl and his Upanoak crew. We had a tree in our small downtown backyard that was beginning to cause damage to our fence as it was outgrowing the space available. After submitting a request for a quote through the website, I received a call from Darryl just a few minutes later and he came to visit in person that same day. Darryl was really knowledgable about what could be done, and also able to provide some background on the tree - the type of tree it was, when he believed it was last pruned and also an approximate age. He returned a week later with his crew to do the job. They were on time and did a fantastic job. It was amazing to watch them climbing into the tree and cutting off the overgrown branches. They were very careful with our garage roof and fence and also with our neighbour's garage roof, which was greatly appreciated. The work took several hours and I was expecting there to be a bit of clean-up for me to take care of afterwards, but, the crew cleaned everything and even used a leaf blower to remove any sawdust that had fallen. They also added a bolt to the lower trunks to help stabilize the tree for future years. The team transformed the tree and have made it look great. We get so much more light in our house and backyard and I'm really happy with the results. Will definitely be using them again for future pruning jobs and will happily recommend the team. Thanks!

Work was completed efficient and perfectly cleaned up. They took great care not to damage any of our other plants.

While I have used other arborists and tree companies in the past, I decided to recently try Upanoak based on the company's strong charitable support of the local community, particularly giving back to our local hospitals. Darryl and his team (Dave and Dustin) did a great job on a highly technical removal of 5 trees. They were skilled, professional, responsive and genuinely nice people. They completed the work in a timely manner, were careful not to create any damage or mess, and did the work at a very fair price. I also appreciated the care that Darryl took to help mentor his team as they worked - treating every removal as a chance to build the learning, skill and experience of his workers. Watching him freely transfer his knowledge and knowing how Darryl gives back to the community suggests the type of genuinely good person that he is. I would recommend them highly and will certainly use them again as needed.

This team of highly talented arborists were removing a number of mature trees entangled in hydro and cable lines. To add to the difficulty of the job the trees were either right against the fencing or imbedded in it and spreading over the neighbours' properties. In one case the trunk of a large Manitoba maple was wedged tightly between a hydro pole and the back wooden fence. The team managed to remove and stump all of the trees at a rate of speed and skill that was incredible. Even the tree behind the pole, while it was not possible to remove the stump, was cut flush to the ground. There was no property damage and the yard was left neat and tidy. In addition to this, the crew was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and engaging. Their rates were reasonable too. Upanoak was so good that several neighbours on the street asked for them to attend to some of their trees. My only complaint is that this rating system only has five stars. I would like to have given them even more.

Prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. These guys were great and did exactly what I need them to do. They helped clear out a tree that fell during a wind storm. Would highly recommend.

During the past four years Darryl and his team have successfully removed seven very large diseased elm trees from my property. I am impressed by the manner in which Darryl and his crew dropped the trees, and cleaned up all the branches, limbs, and tree debris. I have always found Darryl and his team to be extremely polite, courteous and always timely. He has become a friend i can depend on. I highly recommend Darryl and his team.

Would make this 10 Stars if I could! Great service, timely reply, honest and transparent billing, excellent finished job! Darryl, responded to my inquiry very quickly, he came to asses the "monster tree". We were very impressed by his honest and practical approach. We appreciate his pricing integrity, commitment to our safety and ability to complete a complex job with a very short turn around, I will add in the rain! Extremely pleased, no point to call go further than this review. I am the most critical and difficult individual with extremely high standards. You are in trusted hands with Darryl and his team.

I was given an estimate for trimming and recomendation for deep fertilizing as the tree was stressed.There was some weather delay on the work but it was completed to our satisfaction.
