    Poor Ethics

    Positives: quick response to my Saturday morning call for two appliances in need of repair. The repair man, from SOS Appliance Repair, was very thorough in analyzing the issue with my stove (mice had nibbled through the wires). Negatives: after I described the issue with my refrigerator, the freezer was frosting over and I could not regulate the temperature, he took a cursory look inside and said it was the motherboard, at a cost of $600 - $700, for which I had to pay half upfront, which I did. The repairman did not look to see if there was enough room between wall and fridge to allow adequate air circulation, which there was not, nor did he ask how old the fridge was (about 9 months) - as the electronics on a good fridge do not self-destruct so quickly. After he left, I did some reading and pulled the fridge away from the wall and the problem was fixed within 24 hours. I call OakviileAppliance Repair to cancel the motherboard replacement and asked for my deposit (less service charge) to be refunded. That was mid-April. I followed up every few weeks for three full months and only received my refund after I said that I was going to write this review.

    Fridge repair

    The freezer portion of our fridge conked out and the tech was quick to point out that the compressor had gone. The repair was going to be costly and the tech recommended replacing the fridge - unfortunate but we appreciated the honesty.

    Fridge Kitchenaid

    the company provides the same day service. technician arrived after an hour and fix my fridge within an hour. I recommended this company to everyone. Professional approach to the problem and very accurate job has been done. thanks

    Viking fridge repair

    The service man that came the first visit was on time, polite and quickly assessed the problem. He told me his office would get the estimate and they did quickly - I agreed and scheduled the 2nd appointment. He came, was on time and repaired in a timely manner. He was helpful in telling me to vacume out the bottom of the fridge to further reduce any other problems by too much dust. I did not realize so I am very grateful to know that I need to keep that vent area free of dust. Overall his visits were prompt, professional, efficient and he was very helpful and friendly. I am very happy with the repair.

    Fridge Repair

    Our fridge was not staying cold and Oakville Appliance Repair was able to send a technician the next day. They were professional and were able to troubleshoot the issue and correct it the same day.

    Viking oven repair

    The man was very polite and quick to access the problem with my oven. He had the part in his van and fixed my oven quickly. Thank you my stove is working again

    Kitchen Aid Refrigerator Repair

    My French Door Kitchen Aid fridge (just outside of warranty of course) was not cooling properly. They were able to send a technician on the same day I called. He was courteous and diagnosed it as either a new sensor or a new main board. He recommended replacing the sensor first as it as cheaper than replacing the main board. I had to make a 50% deposit and was told they would call to arrange an appointment once the part arrived. As promised I received a call a few days later & scheduled a follow up. The repair man replaced the sensor and told me that, if in a few weeks I was still having problems, I could call them back and he would order the main board and only charge the difference rather than paying for 2 separate repairs. Crossing my fingers that the problem was the sensor!

    Electrolux Washer

    I had another repair company come out and an extreme amount of money, claiming that my washer motor was broken. When OAR came, they informed me a simple sock was stuck in the drain. I really appreciate the honesty and great work!

    Viking Stove Repair

    We were very pleased with the repair technician. He tried to help us when our electricity failed. This did not effect the repair. Only complaint is that the wrong part was ordered so he had to return a 3rd time. I would recommend him to others.

    GE Refrigerator

    The staff at Oakville Appliance Repair went above and beyond their call of duty to provide excellent customer service. I would recommend them to anyone in Oakville looking for a professional company that is able to provide expert repairs on short notice!
