We are concerned about your complaint but you bought a brand new Performance series high-efficiency 96.7% Carrier gas Furnace manufactured with high quality standards. We just installed your Furnace after replacing your existing one.
If your gas bills are high there are several other reasons, you have to look into wall and Attic insulation in the house, leakage around the window, leaky ductwork, gas suppliers rate increase and thermostat temperature settings. New Furnace will definitely be consuming less fuel than the old Mid Efficiency furnace, so your point regarding your high gas bills are more related to other factors than just the furnace, as I explained above.
There is a nice guidelines on CMHC website (Canadian mortgage and housing society) about how to make your house more comfortable and winterize and make it more weather proof to reduce your gas bills.
You are not the only customer where we installed this high-efficiency furnace, we install hundreds of these furnaces every year and all other customers are completely satisfied with their gas bill.
