Hired this company last winter because they seemed to offer services the others didn't. I should have run away after they double charged me at the beginning of the season and wouldn't answer the phone to fix it. - No Live Tractor Alerts. - No GPS Email Alerts to Clients. We were always the last driveway on our street done by hours despite the "First There Guarantee". When they did show up we'd be lucky if they did half of our double driveway. Unfortunately I did not take the risk to continue with Metro this season. I believe most of my neighbors are also doing so (who experienced Metro service previously), I can see less Metro signage in our street than last year. I didn’t have pleasant experience with their service last year. In few storms, they failed to come on time or just did one pass in 2/3 days. Hope their service will improve this year. Sorry you feel this way. Many clients renew late therefore their stakes are not in yet, typical of this time of year. Mast winter we saw an increase of over 205, added 5 tractors to the the area with great success. I'm sorry you feel you were not well serviced but I assure you we delivered for every storm, don't miss events and are there within a reasonable time. We've been serving Barrhaven well now for over 20 years. The Metro Team

There have been a suspiciously part amount of positive reviews lately. I have a hard time believing that they are legitimate. I recommend that anyone considering Metro for their snow removal needs to avoid it. The service was not delivered as promised. More often than not, the driveways on my street (about 5 of us) were completely ignored. When communication was attempted, we could get nowhere. Phone calls and emails were left unanswered. I find it hilarious to read other reviews that I can completely empathize with that are answered by the owner so quickly, when he can't be bothered to answer his phones/voice mails or emails. The customer is left completely in the dark. I went to the office to complain, and the owner, Ken, became downright confrontational. If you value yourself, avoid Metro Snow Removal at all costs.Answer from pro:

I had been with Metro in the Appleseed days. Winter 2017-2018 I received terrible service as did others on my street in Barrhaven. I had to contact the office everytime there was a snowfall. I heard all the excuses you can imagine...driver has pnemonia...Equipment broke down...replacement driver...etc etc etc. I had to shovel my driveway on my own if I wanted to get kids to school and me to work on time. I am a single mom and my mornings are busy enough without having to worry whether or not my driveway has been cleared. A few weeks ago I received an email asking to provide my feedback. A reputable and reliable company doesn't have to solicit good reviews. They have gone from having a very low satisfaction rating to a very high one which I find very convenient as it is time for people to research and sign up for services. Stay away from this company. They will treat you with rude and disrespectful emails even though they demand you always remain polite with them or you will be ignored. Kill them with kindness they say....well you killed this loyal Customer. I have selected a new company for this coming season. I recommend you stay away from Metro as well!Answer from pro:

I hired this company last winter and it was a big mistake. Metro never showed up on time to clear the snow and many times I ended up shoveling the driveway myself. Moreover, the driver damaged our garage door. We reported the damage right away and later in spring time as directed by Metro. After reporting the damage, I never heard anything from Metro. When I followed up on the matter, after many calls, they finally sent a contractor to assess the damage. This guy is as worst as Metro; he never keeps his word. Finally after 4 months, the contractor came by to assess the work. One day, when I was not home he came by and "patched up" the damage. When I called him to complete the job, he stopped answering my phone calls and stopped responding to my messages. I tried to get an answer from Metro, after many attempts they finally replied and gave me a phone number and email of their general manager. I called and sent emails to this general manager many times. He never answered his phone, never replied to my voice message and never replied to my emails. I am just wondering if this is even a real phone number or email message. The email is Gmail account. If he is a Metro employee, why he does not have official Metro email account. I have no doubt that this GM is a bogus. Metro will never get on my property again and I recommend everyone NOT TO HIRE METRO.Answer from pro:

The only good thing about dealing with metro is that if you request cancellation with photographic evidence of the lack of service, they will comply and provide a full refund. Which I have received. Before selecting Metro Snow and Ice, look at your street, if there are more than 15-20 of their flags/signs then you may receive a regular service. In my area of Barrhaven no one that had a metro sign received any service. My next door payed for the entire season and received two clearings. For the entire duration of this contract I have been provided with two clearings. I have email records and pictures with time stamps indicating the lack of service and supporting the statements below. 1- The very first "practice" run which resulted in a trouble ticket due to the extremely late arrival of your tractor. 2- The second clearing which took 3.5 days from the start of snow fall to finally clearing. For this event a trouble ticket was placed and several emails were sent to the company just to have my driveway cleared. I also received a promise from Ken that this would not happen again. For this snow event the main driveway clearing was not done as contract. The city dump was also not done in time as per contract terms. All clearings were done 3.5 days after the snow has begun falling. For this event the contract states I will be receiving multiple visits that has not occurred. As for the 24 hr post city plow dump, this also did not occur as per contract. I have time stamped photographs take to prove this claim. 3- The last snow fall event has also resulted in NO CLEARING and a trouble ticket requesting a clearing and an email were sent. For this snow event the main driveway clearing was not done at all. The city dump was also not done at all. For this event I have NOT RECIED ANY SERVICE. I have time stamped photographs take to prove this claim.Answer from pro:
Sorry you feel this winter. All routes are preset for the most logical order and you may have been at the end of. A drivers run. Leaving cars our on the street during 'no street parking' is the responsibility of the owner not Metro. We first hired this company in the winter of 2016/17 and were very satisfied with the services received. Last year, more of the same, minus a few glitches(they are human!).
