I have been with Metro for many years now through a number of name changes but always followed Ken Dale. He is always seeking to improve his operation through innovations that coonect with customers. His e-mail bulketins are must read and I loke the way he lays out the “plan of attack” when a storm is expected. He also passes on helpful hints and insights betwen storms (often with clever humour) and keeps customers apprised during storms when there are circumstances that affect Metro’s response (like drivers’ time-on-task) . Ken and team is also open to hearing if a customer is inadvertently missed )politely of course). It is all about managing expectations in an operation that involves factors that are beyond Ken’s control during the worst of what Mother Nature has to “offer” us here in the Ottawa area. I highly recommend Metro for snowplowing service each winter.

I have a driveway that has only a narrow lawn on one side to hold the snow so I require a service that blows snow and not a plow. I have been a client of Metro/Appleseed for over 15 years and I've always had reliable service. I've never had to shovel a city plow dump and I like the addition of the service updates by email. Unfortunately my driveway is on the north side of the house (never sees the sun) so it isn't the best advertisement for Ken's service, but the occupant inside is a happy customer.

We have used Metro Snow and Ice Management since the company first started. They do an excellent job and keep customers well informed during storms. We have found their service to be dependable and have had no issues.

I have been a customer with Metro (formally Appleseed) for about four winters. They are reliable and quick to respond to issues. They usually clear my driveway in a reasonable time period, and the drivers are polite and courteous. For realistic things to be aware of when hiring a snow removal company: - my driveway is cleared, so I can pull my car into my driveway, but it is not perfect. There is usually a foot of snow left in front of the garage and along the sides. I have no issue with that as I don’t want my garage damage and I’m willing to take a shovel to fine tune the removal. - I have a double car driveway and over time, when there are a lot of snowfalls and snow accumulation, it shrinks to a 1.5 driveway. Be patient, as Metro will come around and do driveway widening. There priority first however is to make sure everyone’s driveway is cleared. I’m fine with that too, as I would want the same if my driveway hadn’t been cleared.

I have used this company for the past 5 years or so. Consistently reliable. They even have come when the amount of snow fallen for a clearing has not met their threshold Very competitive in cost. . I also like the fact that they send out emails alerts as to where they are in the snowclearing process . One e has a good idea when they will be coming

I’m a retired disabled veteran and unable to do my driveway or steps. I have used Metro for a number of years and have been very pleased with their service. My circumstances are such that my driveway slopes to below grade. Other folks have tried to deal with it but have been unable to do so. Mainly because their truck plows often get stuck and have to be winched out or shovelled out. Or have just given up. This was unacceptable as my wife was an invalid and had multiple tests etc., so a cleared driveway was absolutely necessary. Metro was indispensable. I knew I could count on the Company and the staff. My wife died in the last year but I know that Metro will look after this 80 year old old soldier and I will not have to worry about winter.

Sorry for the long title, it was meant to be short. At first the removal was late and I had to sent a note. The next three snow falls the driver missed us completely. That I could not understand. Anyway as the season progressed, the service was good. I actually benefitted big time from the brining. Thank you.

This past season was my second one with this Company. Just great service and the feedback to customers through the winter was superb. You knew when they were coming and if there were delays, you were also told. Great company!

We have always experienced timely removal of snow after a storm. The service is quick and leaves our driveway clear and ready to use except for a small area adjacent to the garage door, which is a small price to pay to avoid risking damage to the door.

I have had service for at least 3 years and have never had a problem. The snow removal is done on a timely fashion and they also seem to follow the street plow.
