    Great Communication and great job!

Metro Ice Management does a great job communicating with their clients; explaining when they will be sending out drivers as well as sending GPS text/emails to inform you when they are in your area. They have always responded quickly to emails and concerns. It sure beats shovelling your own walkway!

    Answer from pro:

Thank you Alana! We all appreciate your positive comments here at Metro. Ken

    52 Westpointe Crescent Nepean ON

We have been METRO 's costumer over 10 yrs. Not a single day I was stuck with a unplowed driveway. Same with my smart neighbors down the street. I never heard a complaint. I will also tell you a story about how they treat their customers; Few years back , again not their fault but mine, I left a cast iron flower pot holder too close to the driveway. The operator didn't see it and broke al small chip out of it. The very next day , I received an identical brand new pot , a card apologizing and a bottle of wine .. HOW' S THAT FOR CUSTOMER CARE.. THANK YOU METRO , THANK YOU MR. DALE AND THE CREW... Hy ELMAS.

This is wonderful and appreciated Hy. Many thanks and hope you are with us for many more years! Ken

Excellent service from Metro Snow and Ice Management

We have used Metro Snow and Ice Management (and formerly Appleseed) for many years. We are impressed with their professional courteous service and timely follow-up. We love that they have a GPS on all of their tractors which means we know exactly when the driver has been by to remove the snow from our driveway. We appreciate Ken's emails which tell us his snow removal plans when there is a snow event. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for driveway and walkway snow removal.

Many thanks Annie for this review. We hope we can continually 'impress". Ken Dale

    Snow removal

We have been using Metro for a few years now and have had excellent service. We have never had to call for follow-up and have never had to shovel out the end of our driveway after the city plough has come down the street.

    Answer from pro:

Many thanks for this kind reveiw. It is well appreciated by both myself and the hardworking people here at Metro. Ken Dale

    Poor service. Snow removale

Appleseed was great. Metro is not even close. The tractor driver drives by my house. Clearing all the driveways on the opposite side of the street. Skips my laneway 2/3 snow falls. I have to clear it by hand ...the ice build up at the bottom is impassable with a car wich we have to of. I had to buy 10 bags of salt just to melt a small passage way in the middle of my 14 inch ice wall. My mother in law sent a complaint by email...no response. No action either. They dont care about you. If you want good service DO NOT USE METRO. I would rather pay more and have a driveway i could use. Next year metro will have allot less customers. They do bad work. It also says something when my tractor driver is constantly changing. I dont think they treat thier employees well. They have a huge turn around. When i had apple seed for the last 5 years i had the same driver. He knew the route . He actually cleared my driveway every snow fall. Metro drives right past my house and never comes back. Bunch of monkeys. You cant buy a good company and just expect it to work. You need to prove your quality and service. Good luck next year... another unhappy customer.

    Answer from pro:

Actually, we've been there every time. I checked the GPS......You're simply too 'impatient'. Because a company does not get there 'as fast as you wish' during a storm....(and you 'choose' to shovel it yourself) doesnt make us 'late'. Read your contract befire posting unfair comments please. Your 'unfounded' statement: Employees: Where do you get off making statements like' don't treat their employeess well"? My drivers have all been with me for year. Now the kicker! Ps: I owned the 'Appleseed' you used the year before and have owned it for 20 years!....simply 'changed the name' and rebranded! No change in anything but the name! .........get your facts correct please or your review is just ranting and venting. Ken

    Terrible service

I hate posting a negative review but this is by far the worst paid for service. We are at the end of a route so this means its hard to get out to go work and in when we get home. I have communicated sevral times with Mentro and never had a positive outcome. They have created a massive ice bump at the bottom of our landway and wont resond to emails. They instead removed us from there mailing list so we dont recieve snow updates. All in all very negative and not worth any money.

    Answer from pro:

Always disappointing to read a negative review.Firstly, we never removed you from any 'mailing list'...check your spam folders please. Secondly, yes, you are in fact at the end of the route. Even at the end of any route, clients are still cleared under the allotted time contracted. You wait less time at the end for 'windrow;' clearings as the tractor is closer behind the CityPlows. I will address to improve if you email me your address but without a name or address there's not much i can do to help. I personally read and insure some sort of response to every email we receive. Thanks Ken

Poor service, impassable driveway, no response from company

1-Previously Appleseed was excellent. Now Metro promises good things but does not deliver. 3-4 inches of snow in driveway and on walk for days. 9-10 inch ice hump from sidewalk plow and repeated thaw-freeze with continued build-up, makes driveway impassable for cars. Even an SUV has difficulty and scrapes the undercarriage. Sent them pictures with a ruler showing depth, and not even a response to the email. I do not expect it to be totally clear of snow, I do expect it to be passable. 2-Finally came, to do the whole street, their email said it was a courtesy service. (even though 4-5 inches in the driveway and now 12 inch hump). . It reduced the hump slightly, the snowtractor just bounced over it. A day later they still have not shovelled the walk, having promised it would be done yesterday. They have most of the street, so it should be easy to keep up on. Perhaps they will not have many sign up again for next year now that Metro with shoddy service, replaced Appleseed which had been excellent. A waste of money. 3- The sidewalk plow was same day, followed by several other snowfalls, on later days without plowing. A couple inches each time, some of which would later melt to ice. Yesterday this area had more than two inches. No plow. The reason for paying a driveway and walkway service is when you travel for work frequently, that you can get back into the driveway, and it looks like someone is paying attention, while you are away.

    Answer from pro:

Sorry you feel that way. You live on a 'bus route' or a street where 'sidewalk plows' go out days after a storm and leave 'windwrows ' at the end of your driveway. As stated in your contract, we are not responsible to go out days later to address individual sidewalk issues. Most clients simple 'clear this small amount away' between storms preventing the problem. Every driveway regardless of us or a competitor faces the same issue and problem with ice buildup. Ken 'Shoddy'? ...I hardly think after 25 years in business here with a stellar reputation with thousands of happy clients that 'shoddy' is a word to use here.

    Unacceptable bad service.

I was away on holidays and during two snow falls my neighbor had to shovel the drive way and lane way. The plowing is never done timely and my family is very disappointed with the service. My parents are seniors and they do not need this crap! The competitive companies are better.

    Answer from pro:

I investigated this for you and your neighboursnchose to clear your parents driveway before the tractor got there. Simple patience may be required. We show up...as contracted to. Sorry you feel that way. Ken

    Poor Service

In my opinion, poor service. I would not use them. I'm not happy with the job they do of clearing the driveway. They've refused to come when you complain about significant snow left in the driveway after a snowfall. Why should it be so hard to get good service after paying for it?

    Answer from pro:

Sorry you feel that way David. I will try to look up your address and address the timing with your driver. Thanks Or ur contracts are clear about service delivery and timing. Most of our clients driveways are always cleared within a very reasonable time regardless of the amount if snow that falls. Ken Dale
