This was the easiest development. I had heard horror stories from friends about trades not showing, delays etc. Basement Builders were professional, on time, no extra issues to contend with, and no additional costs or surprises. No interruptions to our daily living. Basement Builders were unbelievable! Our basement is gorgeous.

Basement builders did a great job. To start we got three quotes. From a scope and cost perspective all three were very similar. However, the basement builder team were more timely in responses, more professional and generally gave a better vibe than the others. Happily I can say there performance doesn’t dip once they have a contract. The renovation was completed in about the time window they estimated, and costs didn’t stray from the quote at all. They were always very timely in responses and took care of any questions we had. The contractors they use were all excellent. Doing a great job and being very accommodating as we had two small kids buzzing around them frequently. Also during Reno’s the contractors pointed out a few valuable items they thought we could sell online. They were correct and the extra pennies saved was appreciated. I can say we are all very happy with the final product. It’s great to have a basement we can use and enjoy. Great job!

We could not have asked for a more professional reliable and informative company to work on our basement they did an incredible job and kept us updated and informed at every step of the process. Our basement turned out better than expected and we receive tons of compliments on it. If you are considering developing your basement highly highly recommend basement builders!

We decided to hire Basement builders to develop our basement and we are very happy with the results. Ben and Mathew are great to work with and very knowledgeable. Ben works the construction side, he know his stuff and is able to offer great advice with designing the basement. Mathew does a great job in handling the business side. He is always very fast in responding to any questions and providing great service. We had a tighter timeline to finish the basement and they were very accommodating to try to finish in time. Their prices were fair and the package included things that you would expect as an upgrade, such as the sink being under mount and the counter top being granite/quarts. We recommend Basement Builders to assist in any basement reno/development you need.

From start to finish Mathew was super great on Communication with me, with the entire process actually. Anytime I had questions or concerns he made sure to explain everything to me in detail. Right down to the finishing touch ups! We highly recommend Basement builders if you are like us and are looking to turn your cold storage basement into a lovely space for your whole family to enjoy. The original development plan for our houses basement was terrible to be nice. Mathew and Ben came over for a quote and where very kind and thoughtful to what I told them we where looking to do. I think they came up with a wonderful plan and then executed it fantastically. Highly Recommend using Basement Builders!

Done with the utmost quality. Took them a bit longer than I anticipated, but the quality of the workmanship is great. The process is clear and understandable, they keep you up-to-date with what’s going on. Feels a bit crazy in the beginning, but then things go smooth. Mathew is replying to email questions 24/7.

Went with Basement Builders as they were upfront and when we met for the quote they were clear and honest about all costs. They were able to do the whole job in the expected amount of time with no real issues. The communication was excellent and the quality of work is superb. Basement Builders developed our basement in a timely manner, for a reasonable cost and with utmost professionalism throughout the whole process. We really valued the clear and responsive communication that Mathew, Ben and Chris provided, the friendliness of every person that worked on our basement, the attention to detail and their commitment to exceeding our expectations. Also, the price they quoted us at the beginning was exactly what we paid. We are so happy with our basement and we love spending time there.

We hired the Basement Builders in the summer to complete our unfinished basement in a 3 year-old house. They were punctual and communicated effectively to advise us of what to expect at every point through the process. We did a fairly specialized sound-isolation treatment in our basement, and Matt, Ben, and the Basement Builders were patient and collaborative as we addressed each piece of the build as it progressed. They indulged my whims and frequent course-reversals as we navigated the challenging landscape of building out double-layered, Green Glue inclusive ceiling and walls. I felt as though they were interested in my vision for the project, and consequently invested in the product I wanted. I had a chance to converse with many of their sub-trades, and they were all wonderful to deal with - I was genuinely impressed by the caliber of labour they're able to attract. Although there were some delays, Matt and Ben managed the communication and set expectations so effectively that we were never left wondering "what's next?". I strongly recommend working with the Basement Builders as they've got an incredibly well-oiled machine that keeps focus on the customer's needs and wants, a rare quality with any vendor these days.

We had basement builders renovate our basement and the end product was phenomenal. Matt was very responsive to all of our queries and very helpful throughout the process. The trades used were all wonderful and very professional. The project took slightly longer than we had thought but it was well worth the wait. We love our new basement and would definitely recommend Basement Builders to friends and family.
