Lay lawn or sow grass: Lay lawn; Less than 50 sq ft
I am so pleased with the Bellevue Landscaping team and my completed landscaping project. When I contacted the owner, Ron Lazzer in the summer of 2025, he made a number of visits to help me through the design process of my Garden Project which involved several items, including a garden/walkway retaining wall, adding a garden access by installing a new fence, gate and step, as well as making important drainage and grading improvements. During the planning stage, Ron was very patient as my vision for the project with respect to materials and layout changed. He listened to my ideas and was able to guide me in arriving at a final plan. Ron also offered flexibility and various options in terms of cost and materials. Ron and his team are very professional, polite and easy to talk to. They were punctual and ensured work was completed in a highly skilled manner. Ron returned early this spring to inspect the project and finishing touches were added. Would highly recommend Bellevue Landscaping.

Thank you so much for the kind words — it was a real pleasure working with you on this project. I’m glad we were able to take the time during the design phase to work through the different options and arrive at a plan that felt right. Bringing together the retaining wall, fencing, access, and drainage improvements was a great project to be part of. I’m very happy to hear you’re pleased with the final result, and I appreciate your patience as we refined the details along the way. Thank you again for your trust and recommendation — it truly means a lot. — Ron

Yard design / landscaping: Design only; Less than 500 sq ft
I contacted Bellevue Landscaping in the spring of 2025 to revamp the main flower bed in our condo building to mark its 40th anniversary. The owner, Ron Lazzer, contacted me very promptly & came on site to assess our needs. I found him very helpful & knowledgeable. We decided on a Muskoka stone carved with our building logo. Ron set up a number of visits to an amazing stone engraver to check out stones, sizes & colours available. He always make himself available and was very helpful with respect to our budget, the size & colour of the stone and our timeline. He suggested a lighting system & perennial plantings that worked well with the stone and he was on site until all planting was completed. He came by on numerous occasions in the fall and has been by a couple of times this year for inspection and maintenance. I found Ron to be personable, professional, timely, knowledgeable and budget-conscious and will definitely consider hiring him again as our landscaping needs grow.

Yard design / landscaping: Design and landscaping; Less than 500 sq ft
Do not hire - extremely disappointing experience. I can't recommend Bellevue Landscaping for anyone seeking reliable and responsive service. Reached out to Bellevue in March 2025 for a front yard project and paid a deposit. What followed was six months of poor communication and delays that made the project impossible to complete. After a couple visits to discuss the project, communication became wildly inconsistent. Routine questions about timing and logistics took multiple days to get responses, often requiring repeated follow-ups. Despite numerous attempts to establish clear timelines and move forward, we were continuously strung along through the entire summer with vague promises and no concrete deliverables. We ultimately had to cancel the project due to Ron's inability to maintain basic professional communication, which cost us valuable time. Save yourself the frustration and find someone who values their clients' time and maintains professional communication standards.

Yard design / landscaping: Design and landscaping; 2500 - 5000 sq ft
Ron was asked to do some yard work in early April and requested and received a payment of $169.50 as a deposit for design work . He promised the design in a couple weeks , which he kept extending the date. As at July 6 he has not come back with a design and has not responded to follow-up emails. DO NOT USE Bellevue . Big promises no action !!

    Install fence
Ron Lazzer did a brilliant job on our fence, custom trellis and gate. I'm a picky customer and there were, a few challenges but they surpassed them. The result is even better than I'd hoped for.

    Landscaping

I had Bellevue Landscaping prepare and plant two beds at the front of my house. Ron provided recommendations for the plants from which I picked the ones I wanted. The soil from the bed in front of the house was removed and replaced with new soil. The plants were planted and mulch put on top. The larger bed beside the driveway had tree roots which were removed. There were also lots of weeds which were removed. The Blue Spruces were planted and mulch put on top of the whole bed. Bellevue Landscaping was excellent in all aspects of the project. I highly recommend Ron and his company. Elvi Toronto November 2024

    Back yard patio, garden installation

I met with Ron in early March after a referral from a contractor. We discussed what I was envisioning for the backyard - removal of a portion of current garden material to replace with a new patio and new garden beds. Ron expressed interest in taking on the project making it clear that the project would not start until the end of June specifically June 24. I wasn't in a huge hurry as long as it was completed early July. We proceeded to discuss design, plant options, stone options making decisions as the June 24th start date approached. Ron provided a contract for my review in the meantime. I discussed the plant details listed in the contract and noted that they were not all suitable for the deep shade conditions in areas where they would be installed, otherwise I was ok to sign. Ron agreed and said he would look at alternative better suited options, revise the contract details and return to me. He also said he would look at his files for pictures of more stone options as well just to be certain of final decisions, although we had identified on a most likely option already. Ron said all would be provided by the evening of Saturday, June 22 in time for the start date of June 24 which he confirmed over and over was a go. June 24th came and went and no word from Ron. Not a peep, no revised anything. Were there red flags that I missed? Yes, there were, but I didnt miss them, I decided not to sweat the small stuff and trust. What were they? During the March to June interval, Ron came over to take measurements, discuss design options. If he made a commitment to provide some detail, whether design review, stone options etc, he always missed delivering on his own commitment unless prompted by me a few days later. A red flag? Maybe. I decided life is busy, not to sweat the small stuff. My mistake. Whats my take? Ron felt obligated to take on the job given the referral from an associate. The job was not complicated, but logistically labour intensive with unique factors that he probably was not up to taking on. June 24th came and went, and Ron decided the easiest way out was to ghost the commitment. Maybe he was signalling all along with his misses on deliverables to force me to make a decision (which itself would be unprofessional). When I didnt respond as he expected, he was left with no alternative, (so he thought), but to ghost the job. Unprofessional to say the least. I fully expect Ron to respond with some sort of defence for a level of unprofessionalism that is indefensible.

Thank you for posting your comments. We did speak about a late June start but after going through our emails and text messages I wasn’t able to find any promise or confirmation of a June 24th start date. This came as a surprise. We typically schedule projects once we have a signed installation contract in place. We were still finalizing details recently so your project hadn't yet been scheduled. We do want to work with you Kathy which is why I made several visits with you to discuss options and drop off samples. However, in order for your project to proceed smoothly we need to be clear on the details before beginning as we require more information to perform the good work we are known for. Please contact us at (416) 884-1486 so we can resolve your concerns. I've tried calling you and texting you since I heard about your review, but have had no luck connecting with you and I certainly don’t want to pester you. If you don’t want to work with us that is ok. Kindly give us a call so we can either continue development on your project or wrap things up on a good note. We look forward to speaking to you. -Ron

    Perfect Pergolas

We are so pleased with our new pergolas that the Bellevue Landscaping crew installed in our backyard. It makes a world of difference when we go out the back door to see the wonderful work that has been done . The crew at Bellevue Landscaping were extremely professional. They worked hard each day they were here. Whenever I spoke to them they were very polite and Worked well as a team. At the end of each day they cleaned up and left things in good shape for the next days tasks. They were promptly on time and worked hard each day. Ron went over and beyond and took the old pergolas to the dump for us . Our backyard looks so much better due to all the hard work that was done by the Bellevue team! I would recommend Bellevue Landscaping to anyone who needs Landscaping work as well as use Ron and his team again for other projects around our house . Cheers , Ron&Noreen Harrison
