The only problem that I encountered was a lack of communication from the company on when the project was to start. I texted the project manager on a Monday for an update on when the project might start as they had told me mid August and it was now the end of August. He texted back saying it would start in 2 days. When were they going to tell me ? When I called the office for confirmation they didn't know and told me they would have to get back to me.

We are extremely satisfied with the superb service provided by Action Home Services for our Backyard Upgrade Project that included grading improvement, new patio, walkway and retainer wall as well as pergola and new lighting. From the initial meeting with John who walked us through the concepts, to the backyard design by Kin that was both functional and beautiful to suit our needs and the meticulous and professional crew under Renat, the project manager, Ross, the foreman and his team that made our dream backyard come true, we owe you all a big “Thank you”. Despite the scorching sun and high temperature during the entire construction period, the team always wore a smile on their face and was polite and professional - an exceptional team with dedication to excellence and precision.

We have now used Action Home Services for 3 jobs at our historic downtown boutique condominium corporation. Each has been of excellent quality delivered on time and for a good price. Since we’re a condo corporation we have to get three quotes and Action has always been the best price for value. Also very fine on things like showing up on time and cleaning the site after etc.

Action Home Services replaced an old cracked concrete patio with a new 14'x16' interlocking paver patio. They also filled in a basement window and moved my air conditioning unit to the side of the patio so that it is out of the way. All in all, they did a wonderful job. In particular I'd like to mention Mike (he led the implementation effort), he was extremely responsive and clearly takes pride in his work. He was fantastic. Thanks AHS!

We are very happy with Kin's design work. He is responsive, patient, and great to work with. We love the Japanese zen garden inspired backyard Kin designed for us.

Super Profesional from start to finish, we did have a small concern with a bit of lifting on one side but it was quickly resolved and our kids have a space that they use more now as teens then when they were smaller. We purchsed the infill suitable for pets but it is too nice to have the dog use it. We are super pleased and will use their services for any other future projects

Action Home Services did this job as it should be done - professional from the quote with details including pressure to be applied (settling the foundation) and possible additional costs depending on their findings to the final product where they refilled the dirt, added good planting soil and grass seed along the edges. While the weather was extremely hot the crew kept at it and were very meticulous. They offered good advise as to a recommended additional brick wall layer (since we had to excavate the original driveway foundation out resulting in the lower but perfectly slanted driveway) and even on how to design the stone placement, etc. Only caution around getting a quote, ensure that one understands the full ramifications of any possible change as last minute changes requiring quick stone delivery will cost more. In this case it was fully justified and it looks great! General comments from neighbors is that the house now looks like a 'rich person's' home with the driveway. I fully expect it to last with no issues for a long time and continue to enhance the property compared to the old cracked asphalt (with no side walls).

Our project came about when our neighbour told us she was replacing her fence and doing landscaping and we asked if we could piggyback our job with hers. We needed our backyard regraded with better drainage to alleviate our annual flooding issues. Dmitri and John gave us a fair estimate for the work which included a new stone patio. Renat, Esteban and their crew arrived bright and early everyday , sometimes working into the evening to get the job done. There appeared to be a high level of camaraderie in the crew which made the experience enjoyable considering the disruption of having demolition and construction in our yard. The project took a bit longer than anticipated but this was mostly due to the fact that it was being done in tandem with the neighbour’ s landscaping. Esteban was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns as was his crew. We were very pleased with the entire experience and would not hesitate to recommend Action Home Services in the future.

I was very satisfied with the professionalism and workmanship of this company from the initial landscape design to the actual construction. We had multiple elements in our design: swimspa, interlocking, deck, artificial turf, shed. Our project managers John and Renat were able to bring all these components/materials together in a seamless way. They provided realistic, fair quotes and for the most part was able to stick close to their numbers. They were prompt with their replies whenever we had questions or concerns and were always careful to consult with us first whenever there were unexpected deviations from the design plan. Our designer, Kin did a fantastic job of listening to our ideas and bringing our backyard vision to life with professional 3D modelling. Kin also was very resourceful and sought opinions from his experts when needed. Last but not least, the construction crew were consistently polite, courteous and kept the construction site clean and tidy at the end of every day. Highly recommend this team if you are planning a major backyard renovation.

Renat, Omar and their team were great to deal with. I was initially skeptical on the timing, but the team delivered with a solid quality build on time and on budget. They were dependable and did everything they committed to on the project. AHS installed a retaining wall and a new interlock patio, and we couldn't be happier with the final product. The overall experience was great. My only regret was not hiring them sooner. Will definitely use them again in the future. Outstanding company. John
