While we can understand that the cost of plumbing is expensive, we can assure you that our prices are in line with the current industry standards and other reputable premium plumbing companies of a similar caliber to Drain King. There is always going to be someone who is more or less expensive, but we cannot be compared to a handy person or one-man show who does not offer warranties and is less reputable. Furthermore, it is important to note that higher prices are not specific to our company as everything in the world today has increased and is much more expensive than a few years ago. In regards to the time taken to conduct the work, the technician was on-site during the initial appointment for just over 3 hours, during the second appointment, he was on-site for 2 1/2 hours, resulting in a total of just over 5 1/2 hours for this job. We do not charge hourly to ensure that if a job takes longer than expected or unexpected issues arise that our customers are not charged for the additional time. We charge flat rates for the work that is required. This estimate was provided to you as a free no-obligation estimate with no pressure to proceed with the work. It was your choice to proceed with the work and its costs. Had you decided not to proceed there would have been no charge to you. Had you not felt confident in the quote provided we would have been happy to look into what we could offer you.
