    Drywall: In addition to drywall repair due to upgrade of baseboard...
    We were very pleased with the work that Dieter and Detlef did to repair drywall and replace baseboards in 6 different areas in our home as a result of baseboard heater upgrades. They completed this rather tedious work, which involved multiple visits and expert knowledge, in a very meticulous and professional manner. Their painters retouched and repainted as needed, with excellent overall results. We really enjoyed working with everyone and would gladly hire this company for future projects that require drywalling skills and expertise.

    Drywall: Drywall finishing; 4 rooms
    We were fortunate to have had Universal 5 Star Drywall Systems available for the short notice need of our timeline. We had 4 rooms, a hallway & ceiling throughout those areas that had sound proofing & drywall done but still needed mudding & sanding asap. Thankfully, just over a week & this process was completed. We were impressed at how it looked and even more so after we primed & painted it. Especially the ceiling. It looked so smooth! My husband & I are thankful for every effort made to get these area's looking new! We recommend this company. Thank you D & D!

    Drywall: Apply; 1 room
    The actual work completed was very good. However, the scheduling was a nightmare. This company is located downtown and obviously most work is there. However, the workers all seem to come from Surrey, so I had drywallers arriving at 4pm and often working to 6/7/8pm - not acceptable. Workers were tired from having done a full day at other jobs. I felt like a 2nd class customer. The owner doing the schedule said workers would arrive in the afternoon but no time given. This job was several thousands, and I asked to use Credit card.- only to discover the company didn't support Credit Cards. No where on their paperwork do they advise this.

Our qualified journeymen come from various cities, and depending on scheduling, may work at multiple sites daily to ensure timely project completion. We always aim to accommodate scheduling preferences when given advance notice. We’re sorry if that wasn’t your experience and want to assure you we treat every client with care and respect. At the time of your project, our credit card system was temporarily down—apologies for any inconvenience. Our paperwork does not require a specific payment method. While we’re glad you were happy with the quality of our work, we were surprised by the $297 deduction. Although we felt it wasn’t warranted, we accepted it in good faith to maintain a positive relationship. Thank you again for your business and feedback.

    Great experience, job well done!

    We had universal come in to do the drywalling in our mudroom at our new home and were very impressed with the finished product. They were reasonably priced, professional and did a really nice job at our home. Would recommend to anyone needing work done on their home.

    Winter Drywall Project

    A winter drywall project always has some issues - the icy roads caused delivery delays, the cold weather slowed dry time...but the issues experienced with 5 Star went beyond that. Communication was poor. Corners were cut and touch ups were needed; at least they came back for deficiencies.

You may have confused us with another drywall company and placed this review here in error. This review mentions a winter project with icy roads ,however you left the review here in the summer time of June 2022 . We at Universal know the importance of good communication with our clients and always keep this by either text message, e- mails and phone . All our work is documented in writing by us for full warranty prior to starting work.

    Drywall garage

    From free estimate to completion. Cost---Final payment was exactly what was estimated. No money exchanged until material on site and work began. When drywall and clean-up approved by us final payment was requested. Communication with Dieter was excellent. 5 Stars.

    New home , and commercial project

    Redo old texture ceiling to flat smooth ceiling

    After getting many quotes on redoing my living room ceiling to get rid of the old texture to have a smooth flat ceiling, I gave the job to Universal 5 star and I am so glad I did! They were very professional and kept my home clean during the job. My new ceiling looks spectacular! I am so happy. I highly recommend Universal 5 star and thanks again for my beautiful new ceiling. Last picture shows what ceiling looked like before. 1st 3 pics show after completed.

    Acoustical T-Bar Ceilings
