I used Canaan for driveway, front yard and backyard interlocking. Sam and his team were very professional and provided excellent service. They take a lot of pride in high quality work and craftsmanship. They provided lots of consulting and advice before and during the job to make sure design and materials were right for the job. I am very happy with the result and would highly recommend.

CANAAN was recommended to my by my cousin and I can tell you it was a pleasure working with them. Excellent work, very clean and on time. The price was competitive and the work was done very fast. Sam and his team installed a walkway and a retaining wall for me and were in and out in one day. They ensured the excavation was done to solid ground and build a very strong foundation for the interlock. You can tell that this is a professional company by the way the present themselves: all workers a weary safety gear and company log on clothing, equipment and trucks. They have various equipment and works smart not hard (compared to other one-man show companies out there). I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know.

Samuel and his team were working at neighbours landscaping project when I spotted them and asked for a quote for interlocking my backyard. I did not have high hopes about the whole thing based on my experience from the past: contractors may agree to come back and do the work for you but it takes time and you have to chase them, still. To my surprise, Samuel not only agreed to do the work, but the team has started practically the same day. After two days of work 95% of the project were finished. On Day 3 everything was completed. The end result was great and exceeded my expectations. I was also super pleased by the way the crew managed to keep the surroundings clean. They even fixed some damage (a minor one) they caused to neighbours grass. Many thanks to Samuel, Peter and Wilson for their professionalism! They are also a very nice group of people do deal with - highly recommend to anyone who needs a landscaping work done!

Initially, Samuel spent quality time with us as we hashed out our ideas for our front yard. Those ideas were followed up with detailed measurements and assessments. This ensured that our front yard would not only look good but be engineered for a lifetime of enjoyment. Samuel's team is fantastic! Always on time, always kind and friendly. Samuel and team did an awesome job. All other contractors told me they would only use 6 to 8 inches of base. Looks good in the beginning and then looks terrible after the first winter. Canaan used 14 inches and had me come out to inspect depth after excavation but before it was filled. The team then filled the hole in stages tamping it using a vibratory compactor at each stage. The result is that my stones did not move at all after the winter. The same could not be said for neighbours who used other contractors who charged even more but only went 6 to 8 inches deep and did not tamp using a vibratory tamper for every 2 to 3 inches of aggregate. Some contractors even used a hand tamper. Bottom line is that this contractor takes pride in their work and is not out to make a quick buck. With this type of installation, this driveway will be a pleasure to look at for decades to come.

Did their job well. The workers were friendly and helpful. The work were completed as quoted and timely. The start was slower than projected but if you cannot find the supply, you cannot start.
