    Hidden charge

    I got a call from ADT saying I have a low battery signal, and they will send a technician to come "check it out". On the day the technician came, it took him 5 minutes to replace the battery and the charge was 162 dollars!! I thought this was a free service and that's why I agreed to have a technician come. I was not at all informed of this charge ahead of time. Battery cost about 50 and technician cost 100 for the 5 minutes he was here. We inherited the device from previous home owner and had a maintainable service 3months ago when we just got here, and they didn't have any issue with the battery. I called customer service about my experience, and they said I need to contact "billing" department ??? This company is all about money. And they will make their device broke easily so they could charge you money to fix it.

    GOOD PRODUCT BUT THE 1-800 NUMBER IS VERY SLOW... WAIT TIMES OVER 8 MINUTES.. NOT GOOD FOR AN ALARM COMPANY. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM. NOT GOOD FOR AN ALARM COMPANY. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM.

    Really?? 20 days to attend to a service issue

    I'm still in shock that it takes 20 days for ADT just to send a technician to replace my faulty ADT thermostat. The thermostat stopped working on Aug.23 and I called customer care to fix the problem. The airconditioner stopped working as well due to this issue. They tried troubleshooting online but that did not solve the problem. I was then routed to the service team to schedule a service appointment . This is when I was informed that the earliest date a technician will be able to visit my home to replace the thermostat was Sept.16. What??? I couldn't believe that ADT had such terrible service. Are you kidding me!! Really??? Does it take 20 days for ADT just to attend to a service complaint?? Does ADT really care about its customers? From this experience I don't believe so. This is purely very shoddy and unprofessional customer service. I can understand if this was a small company but for ADT to have this sort of customer service is just totally unacceptable. Is there no manager or top management looking at these sort of issues and wondering if they should improve or nobody in ADT really cares. We have been put to real hardship without the air con working in this hot summer. ADT you have lost my trust.

    waste of money

    poor technical people.. Number one company in Canada to put the customers in troubles and sleepless nights. waste of Mooney..I think they want money not the customer satisfaction.....Money money / no other word...they install the system in correctly and send the technicians frequently and charge the customers.....

    Home seurity

    I tried to cancel my account , and they said it was already renewed by phone and therefore I would have to pay the balance of the contract, we told them we would let the contract expire in March of 2017 and we would cancel at that time. ADT then sent another contract to my home for another 3 years and when we called we were told that we had renewed by phone again and after another hour and a half on the phone they insisted we were renewed, my next phone call is to my lawyer and to the media stay away from this company they are not ethical, the Media are interested and will come visit me, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM?

    ADT Home Security

    Avoid this company at all cost. l should have disconnected it immediately after having NUMEROUS false alarms within the first few days of it being installed 4 yrs ago (it made us very reluctant to arm the system when we were out). We spent tons of money for nothing over the years. We were given an appt for between 12pm and 4pm to have sensors reinstalled after installing new windows. I had tried to get an evening appt and couldn't get one. Ended up having to take time off work. ADT called at 2:57pm to say service guy was running an hour late. They called back again at 5:48pm to say he wasn't coming and I would have to rebook. I cancelled the service like I should have done 4 yrs ago. VERY EXPENSIVE LESSON LEARNED.

    Cancelled Service - still took my payments!

    I cancelled the services in 2015 since I moved to The monitoring Center and noticed recently that they are still taking monthly payments from me. I called to complain and was told there was nothing in the records that said I called to cancel. They refused to refund my money. NEVER USING THEM OR RECOMMENDING ADT to anyone!

    Home monitoring

    I had the service for them for 6 years and I just renews the contract My connector had an issue and it keeps triging the alarm police came and they charged me 180 dollars for police fees inspite of it was connector issue They said it is your equipment and you are responsible for it I renews with you 3 times why you did not provide me with new equipment Why I have to pay for something should be your ABC responsibility Very bad customer service too

    Home Security System

    I have never had a more negative experience with a company in all my years as a consumer. From the misleading initial contract, to the headache of trying to move our services to our new home, to having ADT send us to collections when they did not contact us ONCE seeking payment. Horrible horrible experience.

    Install security camera

    I arranged for ADT to install a security camera in my driveway. After 5 calls, I am still waiting to have this job finished. First, they drilled through my hot water line. They obviously had to stop and call a plumber. Then they came back and it was raining. Union rules say they can't work with power in the rain (their tools are battery driven). Then they came back again and it was sprinkling. Then they came and it was snowing. Once again, union rules prevail. Today, they were supposed to come and guess what. It was too cold. It's -8.7. Almost balmy but these guys can't work outside in that temperature. The next call will be the 6th call. If the weather is OK (not raining, not snowing, not too chilly for them), they should be able to finish. But then they have to arrange for someone to come and repair the drywall that the plumber had to remove to repair the hole in my hot water line.I do not believe I have had the pleasure of working with a worse supplier. I will never recommend anyone to use ADT for anything.
