John and his crew did an excellent job removing a 50 foot tree from our property. As concerned as I was about the tree damaging my shed, John seemed to be just a concerned, dropping by on a couple of occasions to assess the job, prior to starting. The dead emerald ash borer infected tree was blown over in the recent heavy winds. He and his crew did an excellent job of cleaning up the resulting debris from our property and did so at a reasonable price and in a very expedient manner.

We had an amazing experience working with John and his crew to remove a massive Silver Maple from our backyard. I was very worried about the removal of this tree as it had a large reach over my neighbours property and to make things more complicated we have exposed phone and internet lines running along the back of the property. John and his crew worked with great accuracy and skill to cut and lower every limb without causing any damage. They cleared the site of debris and left the wood (as requested) neatly stacked and cut for firewood. John’s quote was affordable and quite a bit lower then any other quote I received (and I got a lot of quotes). He also provided options to help fit within a budget. He was quick to respond and easy to talk to. I am so thankful to John and his crew for doing such an amazing job of safely removing and grinding the stump of our tree. I would definitely have John and his crew back for any future tree services and would highly recommend them. From the moment John and his crew stepped onto my property with their equipment I knew that the massive tree in my backyard I wanted removed would be done professionally. Upon completion and throughout their work day, they definitely surpassed my expectations! The locust tree was removed, stump was leveled to the ground, and my entire backyard (including my neighbours) was cleaned as if nothing happened.  They even neatly stacked and cut wood aside for me to be used for firewood. I cannot thank John's team enough for their amazing job! They were all incredibly friendly, polite, and professional. I recently moved into a house that had two evergreens that were dumping needles into the eavestroughs and our first big rainfall revealed how clogged they were. I got quotes, and John from About The Cut responded quickly and came in at a great price. His team completed the job very fast (in less than an hour), removed the stumps, and did a great job on clean-up. I would definitely hire them again.

John, Rob, and Ryan have gone out of their way to ensure that we are satisfied with the work and to do it right to resolve our concerns. They removed and reinstall the fence to remove the giant roots of the cherry tree coming from my side towards the neighbours side. They scheduled us right away and even on a Sunday as we requested. They cut the big cherry near the house without damaging the wall and the shed underneath. They came on time. Clean up was non stop. They even made 4 stool chairs from the trunk of the cherry tree. They even grafted a some branches from the cut down pink flower cherry tree to the surviving white flowering cherry tree. They worked non stop even on several rain. They did not ask for extra payment. Removed a cherry tree, an olive tree and 3 stumps. We ended giving them a lot extra for them going the extra mile.

John and his crew just removed a large oak tree from our backyard. They were professional, very fast and extremely well organized. It took only few hours and the tree was gone. So was the mess. The site was all cleaned up and fire wood neatly stacked. And all that for veery reasonable price. Thank you

John and his team arrived right when he said he would be here and began working right away. First tree was about a 35 foot birch tree and they had it taken down in about 1/2 hour. The second tree was about a 45 foot tall maple tree. This tree took longer to cut down due to the type of tree, it's many off-shooting trunks and very dense branches. However, his crew took their time assessing the situation and very carefully extracted it from my yard. They cleaned up the yards very well afterwards and now I'm thrilled to have those annoying trees down and gone!

I sent in the request for someone to grind down a small tree stump and roots. John contacted me right away, came to my house and gave me a quote for the job. The job was completed a couple of days later. His service was excellent.

I had a huge apple tree that caused me plenty of headaches every year and it needed to come down before the rest of my landscaping project could be started. John answered my call, came when he said he would for the quote and to do the job, a rarity with a lot of contractors. The tree itself was removed including stump within a couple of hours and I was left with a neat stack of firewood. Very happy with my decision to use this team of experts!

Had John over to get an estimate for removal of 6 large trees in an awkward location in my yard, price was excellent and went above and beyond my expectations for what would be completed. We scheduled it in and they showed up on time and completed the job safely and effectively while cleaning up all the brush including in neighbouring yards.
