    Removal of Dangerous and Compromised Tree

    I would definitely recommend Chris and Higher Place Tree Care. Our neighbour had a very dangerous tree that was dead but due to another company who came and tried to take down the tree, it was compromised and if they had not come to remove it, it would fallen on and would have caused a lot of damage to several houses. The tree was in a tight spot between our houses and it would have been difficult to remove. Chris and his team were able to take proper measurements and assess the situation and came up with a plan and solution. On the day of removal, they were punctual, had the proper equipment, quick and efficient and even cleaned up after the took down the different portions of tree. We are really grateful and very happy with their service. Definitely will recommend Higher Place Tree Care.

    Tree Removal and Pruning

    I highly recommend Chris and his team. I needed a large tree removed from my front yard, as well as extensive pruning of several others in the back. Chris listened carefully, gave knowledgeable advice, and a fair and reasonable quote. He did the arborist's report and submitted it to the city so the work could be done on time. On the day of the job, the team arrived when they said they would, worked nonstop all day, and left the yard clean and tidy. Very professional, courteous and efficient. My yard looks amazing!

    Highly professional team that listens well and is focused on customer satisfaction

    This company brought an awesome team--the SWAT team of the tree removal world. They clearly didn't go to the School for Contractors because (1) they came exactly when they said they would, which amazed me (2) they left the place spotless after they left rather than the usual practice of leaving a mess for the owner to clean up (3) they did not try to upsell me--instead, they priced the job way more favourably than other services and at 50% of the price of the highest quote, did it, and charged what they said they would and (4) once they came, they worked continuously until they had finished, rather than grabbing 5 jobs at once and keeping a mess at several properties. So--not like any contractor I've ever worked with before. Furthermore, I asked for several customisations of the work: that they split the wood; that they create a table out of the stump; that they make some cutting boards for me. All of these created extra work for them and only one was discussed before the project started, yet they did them all cheerfully and STILL charged only what their estimate was before these requests. In the cleanup phase, they not only cleaned up the garden and the neighbour's garden; they actually came inside and cleaned up the balconies!! I see that they only ever get 5 star evaluations, but if I could I would definitely give them more. I've never had this kind of experience with any contractor for any project of any kind.

    Tree Removal

    Very professional, good friendly guy to deal with, honest, prompt on time and knows what he's doing from start to finish including getting municipal approval. Has done 2 very difficult big tree removals for me. Without a doubt, I would recommend him.

    Tree Removal in Old Mill neighbourhood

    I highly, strongly and unequivocally recommend Chris at Higher Place for residential tree removal in Toronto. He's responsive, honest, ethical, very knowledgeable (not just about trees, but also about the City's process), and reasonably priced. He's also very committed to supporting Toronto's canopy and biodiversity. Truly a pleasure. Chris removed two large Manitoba Maples, and two smaller non-permit trees, from our backyard in September 2022 - he made recommendations, took care of the application/permit process, provided regular updates, took no money until the job was complete (!), and cleaned up perfectly and completely. Our neighbours marvelled at his work. Thanks again Chris for a job well done!

    Old tall Maple tree removal

    We had an old, tall (~60ft) Maple tree at our backyard that required to be removed. Chris was pleasant and wonderful to work with; He answered all the questions we had, and gave us the confidence and professionalism we were looking for. He and his team showed up on-site and was efficient with the tree removal process. I would highly recommend Chris and Higher Tree Care.

    Trim or Remove Trees, Shrubs or Hedges
    Excellent and professional tree care service by Higher Place Tree Care! We needed a very large willow tree and some dead cedar trees removed as well as other overhanging branches pruned back from wires. Chris (owner) did an assessment and promptly provided a comprehensive written quote. The work was scheduled and completed in a timely and very efficient manner. All the debris was removed and the property was cleaned up very well. Chris is extremely knowledgable, friendly and professional. We are very impressed with his service and highly recommend this company. We will be using Higher Place Tree Care again next year!

    Tree Pruning - Mature Oak

    Chris was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He's very professional, well organized, efficient, very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. I particularly liked his respect for the neighbours, such as using quiet electric saws when possible, rather than gas. The clean up was perfect, including debris on the neighbour's yard. Pricing was reasonably competitive, good overall value for the service.

    Trimming trees and hedges

    They did a great job trimming my maple trees and cedar hedges. Their service was great and cleaned up all the mess. They did everything on time!
