    Tree Maintenance

    I absolutely recommend Higher Place Tree Care. Chris is professional yet friendly and, obviously, is a highly knowledgeable and skilled arborist. He was very prompt in responding to my request for a quote and came in person to very clearly explain what needed to be done to prune a large Norway maple at the back of my property. At no time did I feel like he was trying to "upsell" what needed to be done. The quote was reasonable and in keeping with the work required. Furthermore, the quoted cost was the price that I paid reinforcing my impression of the honesty of this company. Chris was very thorough and careful of my property when doing the work. I really like that Higher Place Tree Care is owner operated and would not hesitate to contact Chris again for future work.

    Tree Care & Maintenance

    Chris came out and gave us his recommendations for our tree in the backyard and was very knowledgeble & helpful. On the day of our service Chris and his team arrived on time, did the work we agreed upon in a very professional manner. The tree in the backyard looks great and Chris is our go to person for any future work!! Thanks very much, great job!

    Pruning of mature Elm

    Chris and his team did an excellent job of from start to finish. They were punctual and professional throughout, and Chris' knowledge and recommendations ended up saving us money on unnecessary tree limb removals.

    Deep Pruning of 3 Mature Trees

    Chris Brown and his help did a fantastic job doing pruning of three mature trees, a birch in our front yard, and a tree of heaven and maple in our back. In addition to pull growth back from the house, raised the crown of the maple, and removed substantial amounts of dead limbs and branches on trees that reached up 40-50 feet (best guess). They kept our backyard furniture safe, removed all cut parts and cleaned up (although given the size of the job, we did another round of clean up after ourselves). They did a great job, interacted with neighbors in courteous ways (one tree was rooted in a Neighbors backyard), and respected their property too (please note that I asked my neighbor for permission, and they then approved it with Chris, which made sense to me). At the estimation stage, Chris came off as knowledgeable and helpful, and came off as someone who cared about the health and well-being of trees. I really appreciated his perspective and appreciation, which are some of the reasons we went with him. He did not disappoint. Were I to need another job done, I would absolutely seek him out!

    a very competant business

    Did as planned with care and attention to detail. A pleasure to work with. We needed trees trimmed without encroaching on the neighbours property. The debri was removed and any fallen branches on the neighbours property cleaned as well.

    Tree Pruning and Removal

    HIgher Place Tree Care delivered a professional, courteous and efficient tree pruning service on a large tree that was overhanging three homes on our street. Given how much work the job was, my neighbours and I were impressed at how the two person crew that included Chris, the owner, got it all done in a timely manner and left our yards looking perfectly neat. I highly recommend Higher Place for any tree trimming or maintenance needs.

    Skilled and professional tree cutting

    We highly recommend Higher Place Tree Care for your tree removal or maintenance needs. You really do get the personalized and professional attention of Chris, owner/operator, skilled arborist and tree worker. My neighbour contacted him (among other contractors) to discuss a major tree removal process. From the first consultation to the very end of actual removal and clean up, Chris was a superb: professional, amazing value for great service throughout, really puts an effort in developing trust with his clients. He was diligent in addressing questions to help us understand what to expect, gave a fair pricing/quote without being pushy and with no surprise charges, was very organized and skilled in removing the tree and grinding (day 1 with a crew of 5 people, day 2 with a crew of 2, both times with complete machinery). His team was on time, had a great system, was very thorough and safe, pleasant and ensured everything was clean after. The tree was on my neighbour's property but it required access to our property and coordination due to the location of the tree canopy and roots. My neighbour and I thank Chris and his team for their utmost professionalism and skill. This could have been a very sensitive and stressful situation without Chris, and it was a pleasure to work with him and his team.

    Tree Removal

    Chris did an amazing job removing a silver maple from our backyard. He was professional, honest, and provided a fair quote. Chris liaised with an unreasonable City Planner on our behalf to eventually provide us with the outcome we wanted. No issues with the tree removal and the clean up afterwards was meticulous. I would definitely recommend Chris - a true professional. Much appreciated!

    Significant Trimming to Maintain Maple - True Pro!

    Chris was fantastic - very knowledgeable, open and honest, on time, efficient, respected our neighbours and made sure to leave things the way he found them in our backyard. We needed to have some significant trimming to help save a big Manitoba Maple in our backyard that is experiencing some internal decay. Chris provide thorough insight of our situation when he came for a free inspection. His quote was very reasonable and he followed through and did exactly what he said he would. He was on time, went straight to work and left the tree in great condition. I'll definitely be calling Chris for our next job.

    Amazing job!

    Chris, thank you so very much for the outstanding job you and Sam did in my backyard…removing and trimming trees. You are punctual, very knowledgeable, and professional. It became very evident that you don’t waste any time…you are quick and efficient. You are very accommodating with your client’s wishes, even if it goes against your professional opinion. You have no fear and will not hesitate to remove a tree in a very challenging location. Your hard work and expertise is much appreciated. All in all, I would highly recommend you!
