I am very thankful that Afshin and Jonny were recommended to me. I was quite hesitant about committing to a renovation project and was concerned it would become bigger than I was prepared to commit to. Afshin was knowledgeable and reassuring, always giving me time to prep for what was being done, and to plan head. He offered viable solutions and made it seem like nothing was insurmountable. I knew that if any adjustments were needed after the project was completed, he would be there right away. Without a doubt, I would recommend Afshin and Jonny to anyone.

Afshin and Jonny have been great to work with. From the beginning, their professionalism came thru. They are creative and knowledgeable, for both design and building components. I enjoyed collaborating with them on our projects. Their openness to others’ ideas while bringing their own experience helped to create the best design possible for my clients, while always keeping in mind the required safety and construction elements. I commend them on keeping to their schedule. Their relationship with trades, good project management and commitment to keeping to deadlines is second to none. I can’t recommend them highly enough and look forward to working with them again!

I worked with Jonny and Afshin to renovate my basement after needing to complete a waterproofing exercise on our foundation. They were able to help with framing, drywalling, plumbing, flooring and finishing. The whole team was professional and knowledgeable. I am very happy with our new finished basement. The project came in on time and on budget.

Jon and Afshin at TDMT were able to identify issues with our concrete basement flooring and come up with solutions that suited our needs. They were very responsive with everything, from the initial quoting of work to be done, down to the final touches of hardware and painting. Their lovely manner, combined with the friendly and trustworthy workmen that were in our house were appreciated!

After completely neglecting our basement for far too many years, we decided it was time for a reno. With Covid, we found we needed our basement even more. Jonny assured us we can get the job done within 5 weeks and with full safety precautions. True to his word we now have our basement finished and we are thrilled with the end result. Jonny and Afshin were responsive, honest, and made sure they kept daily contact with us. The trades were respectful, friendly and hard working (Shout out to Mike) and respected us and wore masks all the time. Quality of work was great and in the end they turned a mess into a gem. Jonny the bagel delivery on our anniversary was especially appreciated :). I would highly recommend Jonny and Afshin and TDMT.

We wanted to replace a 30-year-old sliding glass door with French doors in our century-old home. A leak had appeared between the upper door frame and an inset stained glass window above it. After getting a fairly uninformed quote from a bigger company, we called TDMT. Jonny and Afshin responded quickly to our call, and really dissected the root of the problem, providing us with a quote we felt confident reflected the work that needed to be done. They also liaised with door companies on our behalf, sending us options within our price range, discussing pros and cons to all the options, and never rushing us to make a decision. They ran into some issues while installing (asbestos that needed professional removal and a slanted floor) but dealt with these in an upfront and professional manner — and managed to get the job done in a timely way, always staying in touch while waiting on suppliers. We’re really happy with the results!

Designing, shoring the existing rotten main structural beam, changing the beam, provide steel plate support, concrete pour, exterior water proofing, re-installation of interior, drywall, sand, paint, tile work, minor gas line repair.

Coordination of workers was good. Timing of work was realistic. Everyone was easy and pleasant to deal with. Very happy with the final result!

I am confident that TDMT will get the job done as quickly as possible and efficiently. As an added bonus TDMT has structural engineering capabilities which can be very helpful in a sticky situation as well as the ability to follow a permit through the city. The communication aspect of a job is very important, especially when there are people living in the house. We were always informed on the status of the job and what was to happen next. Feel confident with this contractor and their trades.

I worked wit Tdmt on 2 projects in my house and both times I was impressed with Jon and Afshin for their service and professionalism The second project was much more extensive re- doing the whole basement moving the laundry room. The project involved plumbing electric tiling wood flooring dry wall carpentry, etc. Their team had A level people to perform each of the stated jobs. Also when unexpected surprises came up, as they do in older houses, it was no problem for them to engage other specialists without making the project fall behind schedule. I really trust their judgment because they were conscious of costs and made recommendation for solutions to meet my budget level.
