Not Accredited by the Better Business Bureau for a Reason

I recently contacted Superior Plumbing with a request to find and repair a plumbing leak in my bathroom. Following investigation of the source of the leak by their employee Andrew, I was informed by him that the source of the leak was the wax seal under the toilet. He also identified that the toilet was aged and not in good repair and he suggested replacement. He provided a quote of $1,200 + tax for the work necessary to repair a water leak in my bathroom and replace the toilet. This work was done two days later by two installers. The work took approximately 45 minutes. After the work was completed, the installers advised me the toilet flange was also broken and provided me with an estimate of $800 to replace the flange. I did not accept this estimate as I was suspicious of the amount I was a being quoted for this repair. The work that was done that day did not stop the leak. When I contacted Superior Plumbing the next day to advise that the leak had not been fixed, I was told that the plumbers who installed the toilet were not aware that a new wax seal was to be installed and that they would return to install a new wax seal. I was also advised that a new toilet flange would be installed at no cost as a "courtesy" because of the installers error. I fail to see how this is a courtesy when, as I have learned, it is standard in the industry to change the wax ring and replace the flange on the toilet anytime a toilet is removed or replaced. The installers returned two days later and installed a new wax ring and toilet flange. Upon completion of this work the leak was still present. Another investigation by the installers that day found that the leak was coming from a pipe below the toilet, not the toilet itself. He seemed surprised that Andrew had identified the source of the leak as the toilet in the first place. I was then provided with a quote of an additional $650.00 to have the leaking pipe fixed. Given the inaccurate diagnosis, failed repairs and escalating costs I declined the estimate. When the installers left that day they dumped the bucket of drywall they had removed from my ceiling (to find the leaking pipe) onto my front lawn. I had paid $1356.00 to that point and the leak was not fixed. I paid $1356.00 to have a $350.00 toilet installed. Realizing that I had been grossly overcharged I requested a proper invoice including a detailed breakdown of both the parts and associated labour costs for the work done. When this was not forthcoming I contacted the number for the head office and was advised that "Superior Plumbing does not issue that kind of receipt" and that I would not be receiving any further documentation. I went to speak with someone in person at the local office only to find that the address provided on the company website is actually the address of another local business. Superior Plumbing is not located at the address advertised on their website. I looked up Superior Plumbing on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and it turns out they are not accredited with the BBB. They have a rating of F. The lowest possible rating. I wish I had looked the company up before I hired them to fix my leak. They took advantage of my lack of knowledge about plumbing and my feeling of urgency to get the leak fixed. I would not hire this company ever again and I would actively encourage others to avoid them at all costs.

Pipe under sink - Super Plumbing not Superior

I had to pay for a show up service - Charged $145.00 to quote me a price of $1950.00 for a job I thought was $400. Turns out it was - contacted the very best plumber ever who showed up when he indicated, had the part - I had sent video, replaced the broken one and test it. Took 12minutes. The cost was $380.

You need a good lawyer after they leave

Worked on our property after being told we had to be there to supervise. Now we think they hooked neighbors sewer line onto ours. They claim to have pictures they didn't but refuse to send to us. Samatha was on call said she would make sure we got pictures well weeks later... Off to court we are going!

    DO NOT RECOMMEND

I needed a leaking sink repaired in basement and bathroom It began with them showing up hours early, in an unmarked beat ip vehicle Even though I was told Id be charged if I wasnt there when they showed up My neighbour (family) let them in The guy was there 10 minutes and then told us $750 to basically add a washer to one sink and $950 to fix the other sink I thought it was a joke Then the office shouted at me accusing me of being dishonest with them This was the most insane experience Id ever encountered with a professional company AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST

Outrages quotes and bad customer service

Called Superior Plumbing to get a quote for replacing two bathroom sinks and one kitchen sink and faucet. I was told that the tech would give me all options during his visit. The tech told me the price would be approx. $6,600. The price for each bathroom sink (without faucet) installed was approx. $1550 and kitchen sink and faucet was approx. $ 3500. This was their only option. Eventually I had to pay $168.37 for the visit and no work done. Strongly recommend to not call them unless you are (maybe) only looking for a very high end products.

    ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE

Our bathroom tap in Cornwall was lose and not shutting off. I called this service to fix the bathroom tap. Upon departure, they quoted me $974.00 to REPLACE the bathroom tap. I told them that was outrageous. I called head office to complain, and they promised the supervisor would call me back. No phone return phone call. I had to pay the $154.00 to show up, only to be told the tap needed to be replaced and then quote almost $1000 to replace a simple bathroom tap.

    I recommend it

"We have called Superior Plumbing & Heating three times in the last fifteen months (toilet repair, sewer clog, and complete sewer drain pipe replacement in the basement of our home). On all three occasions we were 100% satisfied. The technicians arrived at the scheduled time, were professional and friendly, gave us an estimate, fixed the problem at the scheduled time and according to the estimate. We are very pleased with the service and results we received working with Superior Plumbing & Heating On the most recent job, replacing all the sewer pipes in the basement, a crew of two technicians arrived as scheduled, worked all day and instead of returning the next day to finish, worked until 7:00 p.m., so the job was completely completed in no time. day. I highly recommend Superior Plumbing & Heating. Our experience with this company has been great. "

    Plumbing problem in house

Superior Plumbing & Heating was fantastic. Called them and had an appointment within minutes. We had a shower in the basement with dirty water, and the toilet in the basement was not working. I tried to clean it, but to no avail; so I called Superior Plumbing & Heating. The plumber arrived at the scheduled time and was very competent. He checked for clogs with a snake and a floor reading radar that had a monitor to see underground, he found a broken cast iron pipe under our tub. Reviewed the steps and cost of services. He answered all my questions and gave simple and sound advice. The entire plumbing repair took less than a week, the rest of the non plumbing work will need to be done later. The problem was solved in a quality manner. I would recommend them to anyone!
