We've used Canadian Roofing Company for 2 jobs now. They are reliable and do a great job. Jason takes the time to explain the work that needs to be done. I will use them again in the future.

I needed the roof done on a house addition. When I was in town and visiting at the house one day during the summer I heard roofers doing a job on a street behind us. I was not able to get over to check them out at that point but went a few weeks later and spoke to the home owner who informed me that she had extensive roof framing and shingle work done. She highly recommended Canadian Roofing Company Ltd. and I closely examined the workmanship. I had to make the arrangements for my house roof job by email and phone from up north. The staff were very prompt and helpful in providing a quotation, explaining the extent of the work and setting up a schedule suitable to me being in Toronto again. On the week of the job Jason was in touch to keep me informed of their ETA which was much appreciated. Storms were predicted for the day of the job but the crew showed up and got at it early and were done just after noon. They did an excellent job of removing and replacing the shingles and vents as well as providing extra caulking care on some flashing that has given problems in the past. They were exceptionally tidy but I did find one roof nail in the grass later on :) Not perfect, but close to it! I highly recommend Canadian Roofing Company Ltd. for their attention to customer service, price, and quality of materials and workmanship.

I got a few quotes from different companies before proceeding with Canadian Roofing. Jason was the only one who told me I didnt need to replace my whole roof. He also spent the time explaining why the lower pitch on my back roof would benefit from additional shielding to prevent snow and ice build up. I really appreciated the honesty and custom feedback rather than just a standard quote. His team did great work. Thanks Jason!

After purchasing our 90 year-old semi-detached home in Toronto, the first order of business was to replace the roof shingles and chimney. What we didn't know was what to expect under five layers of shingles. We were looking for a reputable and professional company so naturally looked to Homestars for comments, reviews and ratings. We wanted specific shingles to match our neighbours. Some companies gave us vague pricing or wanted to charge us for an appraisal! Jason pointed out that our upper bathroom didn't seem to be properly vented and suggested what I could do to fix the problem at minimal cost. He also suggested that the house needed extra ventilation and I could decide on what type of vent I preferred. Some companies charged extra for metal vents and valleys. His quote included upgraded premium shingles, metal valleys and metal vents all around. While not the cheapest, it was a fair and honest quote. He matched our neighbours brand and colour exactly. Jason didn't push any extras and gave us a reasonable idea what to expect once the old shingles were removed. Based on the house design, he knew exactly where to expect water damage and rot. He nailed it exactly. My neighbours also later confirmed their roofs rotted in the same area. Our chimney was in disrepair and Jason promptly replaced the entire chimney in a day. During the installation, Jason checked in regularly explaining everything along the way. The original roof structure was in excellent shape except in the spot where he suspected. His carpenter replaced the damaged studs and top cover for exactly what was quoted. Jason ensured we had adequate levels of proper ice and water shield. Jason worked with our schedule and his crew arrived on time and completed the work in one day. They were clean, courteous and very professional. After installation, they cleaned and swept the property so no nails or debris was left behind. They covered our plants to protect them from damage. Aside from the new roof, you could never tell they were on site. There was some additional aluminum flashing that I asked to have repaired at minimal cost. Only after the work was thoroughly completed did Jason ask for payment. That's something we never expected. Ten stars all around.

Totally professional from the quote to the recommendations to the installation. Excellent team of hard working guys that took care to not break down our plants, protected ours and neighbour's houses from falling debris, and did a thorough cleanup afterwards. Job well done!
