    pack & move

    Our family of 6 recently moved within Toronto. We were most pleased with the service we received. Starting from the free estimate with Andy, the free box delivery with Jesse (owners son), pack & unpack with Sheila (Andy's wife) and Susan, the move with Danny, Justin (Danny's son) and Cory. Jason was most helpful with coordinating all aspects of our move, his customer service skills and communication are second to none. We truly felt like family with this family run company! I will be moving my company this summer and I know who I will be calling. Thank to everyone at Able, keep up the great work!

    moving from toronto to edmonton

    I hired these pepole to do my moving from toronto to edmonton. They began by a fair estimation and i decided to give them the job. the local moving was done by a different company which screwed me up by charging more than double of the estimated cost. after that i flied to edmonton waiting for my furniture to come one month later. I saw that they have charged my Credit card already while they haven't transfer my furniture yet, so i asked them to send me an invoice so i can claim it from my company, but they are now very dificult to find. they rarely answer their phone and never respond to my voice messages i've left. They keep passing me around and treating me like i owe them somethig. now i feel misserable and doubted even they will carry my furniture from torotno storgae to edmnton.While i'm new to edmonton and have a lot of stress of building my life here , Able moving has added up much more to all these.

    move and storage

    DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE..Had 4 broken items..Our belongings were mixed in with other people's (ie boxspring)..We were overcharged $500..Never got our money back for returned boxes.. manager will not return e-mail or phone calls..

    Dear Rejeanne. You sent more belongings than you indicated you would, during your free inhome estimate by Able Moving & Storage Ltd. It took our people 1 hour longer to load and 3 hours longer to unload. The unload took 3 hours because we had to park in the parking lot 2 buildings away, as your building did not have convenient access, which you forgot to explain to our sales consultant during the estimate. The box spring actually belonged to one of our movers that was not there that day due to illness. The boxspring was given to him the day before by a customer who did not want it and was left on the truck by accident. Jason our manager called you several times, left you messages and you did not call him back. His messages indicated that Able Moving & Storage Ltd will only refund money on new boxes that are purchased from us and not deeply discounted used boxes, as was explained to you prior to purchase.     Packing and Moving

    The movers broke an expensive, custom-made stained glass window in m old house, and did not mention it (believe me, there is no way they could not have noticed it). I have called 10 or 12 times, and gotten the runaround each time - they don't accept damage reports over the phone, then they don't respond 5 or 6 emails, then they say they have t check insurance coverage, then just never call back, then, here is the "icing on the cake", so to speak. Insurance works by weight. So I get nothing, glass being considered not to weigh too much, I guess. They allocate 6 cents per pount. So...really unprofessional response to my attempt to claim for damages... I guess the bottom line is, if you have anything precious that doesn't weight very much, don't use this company.

We regret that this fact was not convenient for you and that you insisted on dealing with it by phone calls, delaying the process and aggravating you more. When you finally emailed Able Moving & Storage Ltd, we responded that we agreed that the accident had occurred and that our staff never hid it from you as you saw it happen. You were made aware that there was a possibility that something could go wrong with oversized furniture being moved within an undersized area. You declined to purchase extra insurance and signed the work order accepting basic standard coverage which all moving companies carry by law at $0.60 per pound.     Moving from Scarborough, ON to Edmonton, AB

    "I would like to acknowledge that Able Moving paid the outstanding balance that the hauler owed us and that Able Moving was only the booking agent and not the packer or the hauler and I am satisfied with the resolution"

    removal of existing appliances

    Able Moving did my moving from house to townhouse. The old appliances were to be removed from kitchen and basement by the owner. They were not. My friend wanted them and Mark and George agreed to remove them and install them at my friend's - she paid them $80.00 which was their price. They did not follow through. Said they could not get off fridge doors in order to remove from house. They tricked us as doors were removable. They ripped my friend off. For that reason I will not refer anyone to Able Moving. Heaven help those who will have this same situation. They left cell numbers but never returned our calls. They are unprofessional. The manager, as well, was playing us. He did not help either. They scammed my friend who is a widow and myself. They are not trustworthy and for that reason Able Moving is not to be trusted. I will never refer them to anyone!! No conscience, I hope what goes around comes around to them. Have a rotten day guys (Mark, George and Jason).

    Dear Mary. Mark and George did admit that they did not complete their agreement with your neighbor. You have neglected to mention that the fridge is the only appliance they did not move due to the difficulty removing the doors and the time it would take. They admit that they promised to return to do it and did not. Under no circumstance does Able Moving & Storage Ltd. condone our staff making under the table, cash deals, behind our backs. This is what you and your neighbor did and as a result, Mark & George were suspended for 2 work days without pay. Jason from Able Moving & Storage Ltd. could not force Mark & George to go back and fulfill their obligation which was not authorized by Able Moving & Storage Ltd.. Able Moving & Storage Ltd. does not accept any liability in this matter. Your neighbor should have called Able Moving & Storage Ltd. to make the moving arrangements, under contract, of these appliances and would have been completely satisfied with the service received.     moving services - house & office to condo

    The two men and truck arrived, surveyed the complicated scene and set to work. They worked steadily, carefully and politely. I found them willing to make the extra effort. Even though the bill was a little more than estimated, I had added things to the load and it took a few hours more than planned to load and unload everything. I was quite satisfied with the service and felt the price was fair.

    Packing and moving

    Woah, I just read the bad reviews, and I'm shocked. I had a wonderful experience. At first I was really worried because the packers showed up 2 hours late and when I called, I was told they were on their way. When they finally showed up, the packers weren't actually aware of the time they were supposed to have arrived, so it was a big miscommunication. It didn't matter in the end - they did a fantastic, efficient packing job, didn't break a thing. The movers came the next day - and were super nice, fast and careful. They moved our piano beautifully, and didn't cause any damage at all to either house (walls/floors). A couple of things would have been forgotten had I not double checked, but I think that's minor considering the amazing job they did. They helped with furniture reassembly, and were very patient while I figured out where everything should go. I was very impressed when I realized that a special bolt got left somewhere - I called to ask about it, and a few days later they phoned me, said they located it, and actually drove it over to my new house. (turned out to be the wrong bolt, but talk about good customer service). I would recommend tham without hesitation. Also, they were MUCH more affordable than the competition.

    MOVING FROM HOME TO STORAGE TO NEW HOME

    DO NOT USE THIS MOVING CO ,THEY ARE THE WORST MOVING CO EVER!!!!! SAVE YOU MONEY -HIRE ELSEWHERE. THEY ARE LOW LIFE SCHAMERS THAT DISGUISE THEMSELVES AS A FAMILY RAN BUSINESS????HOW ARE THESE GUYS STILL IN BUSINESS ???THEY DAMAGED OUR EXPENSIVE FURNITURE, STEPPED ALL OVER OUR NEW CARPETS, MISPLACESD??? MY HUSBANDS TOOLS AND KICKED MY DOG!!! AND TO BOOT THE PRICE INCREASED ABOUT $1100.00 ON THEY DAY OF DELIEVERY??? HOW IS THE GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE???TELL EVERYONE THAT YOU KNOW DO ----NOT----USE---THESE-----JERKS!!!!

    Moving and stroage

    Hired this company to move and store our belongings when we left one condo and waited for our new place to be completed. Everything we owned was entrusted to them with was robbed from their storage facility. Only found out the day of the move into the new condo when we received a call saying that the lockers were robbed. I hope that their security has improved. Its not fun losing everything. It was devastating two years ago and to this day still is. Do your research if looking for a storage facility and think twice about hiring this company.
