Water damage and moii up of concern

Wendy Neil 01/10/2026 - 9:27 AM

I have had a bathroom leak that damaged a kitchen ceiling and soaked a portion hallway carpet, concern is how much of kitchen ceiling should be replaced and how to know if there is any mould risk and how to address it?

Are you a pro and able to answer this question?

All damaged drywall should be replaced. Open up wet area and allow to dry with good ventilation such as fans Mold should not be a factor if it was discovered quickly. Carpet should also be dried as soon as possible also with fans wet shop vacuum and fresh air if possible
