New construction... The bathtub hot water tap is just lukewarm but all other taps are scorching hot!
Anonymous user 09/10/2025 - 9:46 AM
I just moved into a new home and I've noticed that the bath faucet only runs lukewarm, never hot enough for a bath. All the other faucets in the house have really hot water but the one in the bathtub doesn’t. I've tried adjusting the water flow but the temperature still stays the same! I've even had to resort to using a pot to fill the bathtub with hot water from the sink which is not ideal. What can I do about this?!

You need to have your plumber (if the has is brand new and under warranty builder is responsible) to have the adjustable valve behind or inside adjusted. Its usually called mixing valve . Since you only have this issue on this specific one the mixing valve is allowing more cold water through and not enough hot water
