Delta cartridge nut removal

Hello, Need to replace the Delta cartridge for two handle bathroom faucet. The round nut that hold the cartridge is stuck. I tried spray w40, brushed with vinegar it doesn't move at all. What to do to remove that nut?

Hey there, Zac here from Divinity Plumbing. Sometimes that ring gets pinched around the valve itself. Once that happens it’s just a little more difficult to remove. If you can’t get it off without damaging the plumbing inside the wall you are better off replacing it.
