Can you place a cooktop in front of a window?

I have limited space in my kitchen and want to place a cooktop in front of a window. I'm not bothered about an extractor. Is this legal? Any hazards?

Even though your kitchen is small but still it will have a sink. So, as a cabinet maker and installer I would suggest to put sink cabinet in front of window following the standard rule and try to have the cooktop somewhere else instead of infront of the window.
