Plumbing work for various industrial and commercial properties Flavio Aloe of Canada Wide Plumbing has been working with our company, Argo Property Management, as a preferred plumbing contractor for the last 6-8 months.

Flavio has worked at many of our managed commercial and industrial properties doing plumbing repairs and installations, and most importantly troubleshooting. Flavio recently troubleshooted a major drain problem in a commercial building affecting multiple units caused by an improper trap primer installation by a previous contractor and was able to quickly locate and fix the problem. He also did an excelllent job installing new piping to a series of roof drains in an industrial building.

I have found his quality of work to be of the highest standard and his pricing fair and competitive. Flavio is very meticulous about his work and always insists on using high quality materials. I would highly recommend Canada Wide Plumbing for any plumbing project large or small.

Shower fixture causing backflow of hot water throughout the entire house The fixture in our third-floor shower was causing serious problems. It had an internal shut-off valve that ensured that the hot water did not flow into the cold water, but when that valve broke, the hot water was backing up into the cold water in all the taps of the house. Each time you wanted cold water from a tap, you had to let it run for quite a while before the water ran cold, not hot. What a problem--not to mention increased hot water costs. Flavio completely took care of it, and was very thorough in explaining how the fixture worked once he fixed it.

Plumbing - Pipe Fittings After having Direct Energy inform me they were unable to replace a leaky hot water tank due to incorrect pipe fittings, I was in a real bind. I had a wet basement, no hot water and really had no idea to call. Using HomeStars, I contacted Flavio @ Canada Wide, and despite it being Saturday afternoon AND him being a new father only days ago, he rushed out and took care of the issues. He spent about three hours doing the work, in a very professional, thorough and friendly manner. Flavio answered all of my questions, explained his work and cleaned up after the job. Plumbers are by no means inexpensive, but Flavio walked me through the charges and ensured I was comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to friends.

Complete plumbing overhaul, new kitchen & bathroom I found Flavio online by looking at some of the reviews and I have to say that as glowing as they are, they STILL don't do the man justice. He is not just good at his job - he is exceptional. He was prompt, efficient, honest as the day is long and extremely enjoyable to work with. He consistently went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our job was done perfectly and he took such pride in every single thing he did. I always felt like he was putting the same high level of work into our house that he would put into his own. And OK, this might be a little thing but it was an enormous joy as an expectant Mom - he always left the space he was working in cleaner than when he started! His assistant Matt was equally fantastic to deal with and as conscientious. With a massive renovation like this, to have a tradesperson that you don't have to manage, question or worry about for one second is a rare find. I'm so glad we found him!

Canada Wide ended our basement flooding

Fixed sump pump After last winter's heavy snows, the spring run-off was exceptional. Unknown to us, the hose on our sump pump had become disconnected some months before. So when the run-off hit, our basement was flooded with an inch of water one night. We called Canada Wide the next night, and they came out around midnight. (That is, a couple of hours after we called.) Their service was exemplary. They were fast, friendly, and informative. They diagnosed and fixed the problem promptly - by replacing the disconnected hose with superior PVC piping. They also looked around outside the house and gave us advice about water table and run-off. Finally, during each step of the work, they explained what they were doing in a friendly way. We were much relieved to have the problem fixed with a net improvement to the house. Highly recommended.

Sweet silence

Banging pipes Had numerous contractors and "plumbing companies" come to assess banging pipes in a first floor hall closet that was loud enough when using the upstairs bathrooms to wake people from a sound sleep. Interesting to pay hundreds of dollars to "reputable" plumbing companies for technicians, not plumbers, to show up, not listen to you and get the problem/solution wrong. I finally called Flavio who diagnosed the problem quickly and worked his tail off solving the problem. Fee was also very competitive. Flavio left no pipe unturned to ensure the problem was solved to our satisfaction prior to leaving. We will never call another company for any plumbing concerns/projects. Thank you so much Flavio.

Flavio is an exceptional and reliable plumber

toilet installation, drain not venting We had a few plumbing issues that needed to be addressed: a sulpher-like smell whenever we turned on the 3rd floor shower, a leaking 2nd floor toilet and a broken basement toilet. I called several other plumbers trying to get someone to identify the source of the problem and had trouble getting anyone to call me back, let alone make the time to come over to our house. I called Flavio based on the many good reviews i read on Homestars. While it did take him a week or two to call me back and get him over to my house (not surprisingly, he is a very busy plumber) once he did he was incredibly commited to solving our problems. He spent 3 days at our house and installed a new toilet, a bath fixture and was able to identify the source of the sulphur smell without having to break through any walls. He is smart, very trustworthy and incredibly good value. I would have no hesitation recommending him for a job large or small. He is a great guy!

Responsive, expert professional plumber

Repair of punctured pipe I gladly write this review, as Flavio and Matthew solved our plumbing woes quickly, professionally and with clear expertise. They came on the same day I called, distraught, over a leaking pipe, at that point cause unknown. When they arrived, they got right down to business and after some sleuthing quickly identified the source of the leak: a punctured pipe, punched through some time ago (before we moved in), but only now manifesting the leak. Then, they fixed it, efficiently and skillfully. Finally, they cleaned up, though the "mess" was minimal. Throughout, Flavio was informative, taking time to explain what had happened. He (and Matthew) were also just plain nice -- courteous, friendly and reassuring. I recommend Flavio without hesitation.
