Wooden blinds, Roman shades, Roller Shades

We recently moved into a new house and had to outfit all the windows. I heard great reviews for Allure Windows and decided to get a quote from them. The quote was quite reasonable and the consultation provided by Sal was excellent. He was very knowledgeable of the various products the company offered and gave very useful insight on what products fit best for each room in the house, based on how we planned to use each room.

Initially, the Roman shades I had ordered did not appeal to us because it appeared a bit wrinkled on the seams. The wrinkles created gaps between the windows and the shades so the room wasn't dark enough for a nursery. I informed Sal of the problem and he was very understanding and took it back. Instead of just taking it apart to add a blackout backing, he suggested re-doing it from scratch to make it wider so less light would come in. He also took the other Roman shades from the other room (all 5 panels!) to iron them as flat as possible. They turned out fantastic!

The faux wood blinds and roller shades were great. The quality and installation were great.

Thank you Sal for going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my utmost satisfaction! I would highly recommend you to everyone looking for excellent valued window coverings.

Wooden blinds, Roman shades, Roller Shades

We recently moved into a new house and had to outfit all the windows. I heard good reviews for Allure Windows and decided to get a quote from them. The quote was quite reasonable and the consultation provided was excellent. The reason my satisfaction level is at 3 is as follows:

1. The Roman shades I had ordered did not look like the photos and were not what I had expected. The finished product did not turn out to be stiff and flat, it had a lot of wrinkles caused by the stitching and perhaps it needed to be ironed flat. Basically, these wrinkles created gaps between the windows and the shades for sunlight to come through. We're always pushing the shades in towards the window glass to try and get rid of the gaps. It is possible that the measurements were not accurate and the shades weren't wide enough.

2. There was a problem with one of the sets of blinds and it took 3 months before we were able to get someone in to install it. It shouldn't have taken this long but I didn't mind it too much given we weren't using the room yet.

3. It turns out the Roman shades did not have a black-out liner, instead, a dim-out liner was used (not quite sure why there's a difference). The shades were meant for the bedrooms so clearly, black-out was important. It was so bright, we may as well not have a shade. The good thing is they were willing to take it back to replace it with a black-out liner and split the cost with us. Lesson learned here is to ensure the order is complete and accurate.

The faux wood blinds and roller shades were great. They did a good job making and installing these.
