Bedroom set, TV unit, leather couches

I had a delivery issue and some follow-up issues with sometaff. The store manager Chris called me to discuss the situation, offered a solution, and has left me a satisfied customer. Overall excellent quality products and helpful staff. I will be returning thanks to Chris.

SOFA

Worst customer service.
I took sectional Sofa and they did not deliver the sofa pillows. I called back and they said it’s out of stock and will call back once they are in stock. I got the call and when I went to store to collect the pillows, they handed over sleeping pillows. I told them that I was supposed to get the sofa pillows why I am getting sleeping pillow, the customer service person was trying to convenience me that this is the pillow comes with sofa. I asked him to give that in writing, he said let me check and came with new idea saying there are no sofa pillows with the sofa and leon is giving sleeping pillow free to me, and I should be happy with the free stuff. That the last straw! I said enough, I will expose you and take this issue at the different level, and this guy asked another sales lady to explain to me. This sales lady was trying to tell me that the sofa pillow does not come with the sofa and I can purchase it and she will help me by giving discount. I was total fuming by now. I said what kind of service is this. I will take this up to their upper management. Then the sales lady said, oh I remember now, that sofa came with pillows and I should get one. And then asked the customer service guy to give me the sofa pillows and also the sleeping pillow.
The part I really hated is this customer service guy was trying to convenience me that I should be grateful to receive sleeping pillow instead of sofa pillows. And when he notices I am not going to accept his explanation will try to expose them, he tried to cover-up. I am sure my blood pressure must have shooted up the roof in all this 1 hours. Very poor and unethical behavior on Leon’s customer service.

Washer/Dryer Combo

We purchased a Samsung washer and dryer from Leons in Whitby. Our sales rep, Shawn, was great! He seemed very knowledgeable about the products and he did not try to up-sell us to make a higher commission. Instead he helped us to find a product that was the right quality and price for us. He was also able to arrange for delivery the next day. We ran into some issues with the appliance delivery; they did not call us before hand as we had been told, so our neighbor had to let them in the house. We were also told that they would move the old appliances to the curb and put the new appliances in place in the basement. Instead, they plunked the new appliances in the garage and left. It was a HUGE hassle to try to get Leons to agree to have someone come back to deliver the appliances into place properly, so after wasting a whole day on the phone with them, we called Shawn to make him aware of the situation, and he quickly arranged for the delivery guys to come back the next day. I would definitely recommend that anyone who plans to shop for appliances at Leons in Whitby asks for Shawn because we know he will take care of you, even though corporate has terrible customer service.

LG 65''

I bought a LG 65' and when I opened the box, TV was not working (it had a color distortion). I called Leon's and they said they are not responsible and that I need to call to the manufactor... They sent me a broken product and I AM THE ONE who needs to call now to the manufactor and try to find a solution. THEY NEVER TOLD ME THIS ON THE STORE, otherwise I woulnd´t have bought it. My advice, do not buy any electronics here!!! Go somewhere else where you can exchange the product if it comes broken.. (probably everywhere except here)... I never had a problem like this before in any other store.NEVER BUYING HERE AGAIN.

If you have a problem with the product, they will NOT BE RESPONSIBLE AND THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU.

Sofar and loveseat

We purchased almost $5000 worth of furniture and once received we found that Sofa and love seat is not as comfortable as we felt in the showroom. we went (right after the delivery) to the showroom and wanted to exchange them for better higher priced pair, but they refused to do so because of their policy. I cannot understand this business model. Any other shop I deal with exchange is possible specially for a higher price. I will never buy anything from Leon's here after.

Sofa and chair

We purchased and after asking over and over again if it came apart as we have a small space between door ways and was told yes every time that it was not a problem when the couch arrived it was completely another story Leon's could have cared less about what had happened and upon going back to find another one after speaking to them on the phone all the staff hid from us and would not serve us I called the store head office and sent an email and nothing was done. Willing to get a quick sale and will tell you what you want to hear commission is more important than service to them they clearly have no knowledge of there product at all

Product

Leon's does not stand behind there leather products. After 2 months and the leather starting to peel on our love seat (Sorrento collection) Leon's refused to replace it. The insurance we bought wouldn't cover it as it wasn't actual damage it was a faulty product. Don't waster your money at Leon's.

"Bonded-Leather" Sectional

In May 2012, my husband and I were looking for a sectional for our new home. It was an odd shaped living room, and couldn't find any other companies that carried a left sided sectional that was in our price range. We decided to check out Leon's (Whitby location), and found a floor model that was perfect for us.

The saleswoman told us it was second-grade leather, and just put out on the floor a week prior, and it had a large discount. Even though I had heard not-so-great things about Leon's, we bought it anyway.

We had it delivered, and upon arrival it had 3 scuff marks on the ottoman. I called Leon's back but they told me that I could only dispute the condition of the sectional WHILE the deliveryman were still there. I was S.O.L. apparently. I decided to not pursue it further because it wasn't very noticeable.

About a year later, I noticed some cracking in the leather. It started out small, but then it seemed to spread on one of the cushions. I called Leon's and they gave me the run around (of course), and then I ended up speaking to their company contracted material specialist (uh? Really Leons? Why is it that you need this service?) and he gave me the low down on their furniture. He told me that I had a Bonded Leather sectional, the very cheapest quality of leather, and that my couch was basically a lost cause. There wasn't any way to fix the leather. I was pissed! He told me to write a letter to the owner of the Whitby Leon's location to get some resolution- which is what I did.

A few days later, I had a customer service rep contact me and I submitted what was happening on the cushion and she offered us $300 off the cost of the couch. Since we were paying it off in installments, and it would be soon paid off, we took the deal.

It's been another year since then, and now the entire sectional is covered in leather cracks! Everywhere! Add to that the springs in the lounger is completely gone, and now it sags. It actually isn't fit for people to sit on in that spot. If we had known the entire thing was going to be ruined, we would have never taken only $300 off. We've had this sectional only 2 and a half years and it is garbage! It's completely embarrassing when company comes over- and I will most likely throw it out next year to purchase new living room furniture.

I am extremely angry that I had a sales representative mislead us about the quality of the leather, said they we had a 5 year "material" warrantee, and that we paid $1850 for a sectional that only lasted 2 years. I never heard of their awful reputation until I researched them on the internet. They cater to people by selling over-priced, low quality items with the allure of payment plans. Don't fall for this! In the end, we are out almost $1500 and will have to re-invest in new furniture that will cost us thousands more. Lesson learned!
